NorCal Remodeling Group

I had a great experience working with the NorCal Remodeling Group. I found them through Home Depot. Taylor Hyde (the designer consultant) came out to the Foster City townhouse to give us the sales pitch and show us the Bath Planet product samples and luxury vinyl flooring they use in their bathroom remodeling projects. We liked her presentation and signed on to have them remodel two very outdated bathrooms that had never been remodeled (over 50 years old). This company was very organized: Designer, Product Order Scheduler, Project Manager, Installers, Plumbers, General Contractor. Max Soy was the Project Manager and kept in constant communication with us and showed up every day to check out the progress of the remodel. He was proactive about spotting small problems before they became big problems and responded to any issues we had quickly and efficiently. The installers (Angel and his brother) were skilled, polite, and cleaned up every day after the work. I was amazed at how strong and fast they worked. The bathrooms look beautiful and I am very happy with the outcome. NorCal Remodeling did what they said they would, showed up when they said they would, handled all building permits seamlessly, and did quality work. I highly recommend this company for your bathroom remodel.

They really messed up for me. I read the reviews and thought they would be better. Here's some of the things that happened: - I had to get the water shutoff for my building since I'm in an apartment. They will tell you in the initial meeting they will take care of all conversations with the HOA but that's not true. I had to go back and forth between them and my HOA several times with lots of confusion as to what needed to be done. - I eventually learned we needed an external plumber to shutoff the water. This is partly to blame on the HOA, but Bath Planet did not help with their service. I had to pay a plumber to turn on the water and wait for 1) The contractors at Bath Planet were late to initially even get out and start the job. 2) They messed up the plumbing as they were doing it and I had to call the external plumber to come back and re-shut off the water. All together I paid for an extra 3 hours of an external plumber to wait outside that was because of BathPlanet's mistakes. They did not compensate me for any of this. - The job took 3 days longer to finish then they said it would because they didn't pass inspections. They blamed it on the inspector. - The workers were messy and caused lots of disturbance in my apartment complex that had my neighbor's complaining. They left dust everywhere in my apartment. I told them to move their cutting area but they never did and kept working in a location that they were not supposed to. - The sales person that worked with me was not very responsive and brushed a lot of problems off. It felt like he was trying to avoid me when the project went wrong. - They messed up the back wall and had to reorder it and come back to do it again. - The final product has lots of issues. For one, my shower now gets lukewarm to cold and fluctuates in temperature more than it did before. They said it was my building and it was nothing they could do (even though it was not like that before). I wanted to do this because hot showers are a coping tool for me as someone with depression. But now my showers are no longer staying hot enough and I have to take 5 minute showers. If I had to do this again, I would have not gone through Home Depot. It is all sales gimmicks. They make themselves look really good on paper (they asked me to give a 5 star review which I image they pressure on to everyone which is why their score is so high). Behind the sales gloss, it's shoddy, messy work with them taking little to no responsibility for their mistakes. TLDR: All sales, no substance. You can find someone better.

We chose Not Cal Remodeling because we were impressed by their professionalism. That is and continued to be true until 8 months later when we ran into some problems. It took 9 calls over the course of two months for any of our calls to be returned. We spoke to schedulers and the project manager before finally calling the sales rep who is the only person who was able to get anyone to call us back. Apparently it was the owner or next in line. Then we were told the warranty Darwin (project manager- who failed to return all 3 of calls placed directly to)discussed thoroughly with us was not valid. Any problems you come across with this company will be ignored unless you continuously place calls and then the warranty explained to you may possibly be denied.

My wife and I were planning a bath remodel and we worked with Bath Planet NorCal to plan out our two new bathrooms. We worked with their designer Elysia and she was fantastic. She listened to our concerns and questions and she planned out two wonderful bathrooms for our townhome. We had to put our plans on hold due to the changing economic conditions we had to put our plans on hold and Bath Planet NorCal was very understanding and worked with us to delay our remodel. Great team and company if you are looking to remodel I strongly suggest you give them an opportunity to earn your business.

We're very happy with all of the work and awesome look of the tub area. Jeff was excellent through the process. We signed the contract before the start of the pandemic and by the time they were ready to schedule, we were locked down. Once construction workers were allowed to come back online, Jeff contacted us to schedule the work. He answered our many questions about safety, sanitizing, PPE, and the process for completing the work. He was very flexible, and there was no pressure to set the start date. Once set, we were the first job for the returning workers, Gabor and Jani. They are both very hard workers, easy to work with, and helpful in answering our questions through the remodeling job. some extra work was required, installing dielectric couplers between the older galvanized pipe to the new copper pipe. Jeff helped reduce the cost as much as he could. The picture attached doesn't do it justice, especially compared to the original tub area. My wife is very happy, and we know what that means! We highly recommend the NorCal Engineering Group and Bath Planet for the quality of materials, workmanship, and the excellent process.

NorCal Remodeling Group was a great choice! Jerry, our salesman helped create our new shower. The installers Gabor and Jani finished in just two days! Finally, our project manager Jeff was very communicative and worked with us on scheduling and made sure we were well taken care of! Thank you!!

We LOVE our new shower! We were pleased from the start working with all of the team at NorCal Remodeling Group for our guest bathroom shower remodel in our 30 year old home. The process started with an in-home visit from Don Johnston to discuss options with a follow-up visit from the Project Manager, Jeff, who guided and communicated with us every step of the way. We even had a call with the owner thanking us for doing business with them. The demo/installation team of Thomas and Victor were such hard workers; very professional and easy to deal with completing the installation in less time than planned. David installed a light over the new shower, and was very helpful with the electrical process. Kouros from Ace Glass did a beautiful job with the clear glass shower doors. We are so pleased with our selection of a Subway Tile look in the Brecchia color with the look of white grout, which Jeff told us was a newer option. The corner caddy is perfect for shampoos and body wash bottles and even has a little area at the bottom for putting up a leg for shaving! This product will be so easy to clean because of the material made with a lifetime guarantee from Bath Planet. I'm always fearful about remodeling but NorCal Remodeling Group made the process quick and painless. Jeff, the project manager, came out and helped us work out all the details before the job started. Once Gabor and Jani showed up everything went according to schedule. To enlarge and replace our master shower the water and drain lines had to be moved, electrical had to be redone before the install could even begin. Gabor and Jani did everything quickly and kept the house clean in the process. Our new shower and floor are beautiful !! If you have a remodel project coming up, NorCal Remodeling Group is a great choice.
