Closets by Design - Central Alabama

It's hard for me because my installer was phenomenal, absolutely THE. FREAKIN BEST! I dont want that to be confused with their service He installed it perfectly with the design Cindy wanted me to have. It waswell put together by the installer. My kids even liked him. While he was here it felt like I had known him longer than a few hours. He communicated what he was doing along the way. I had a two part install because closets by design is highway robbery and wanted to charge almost $2,000 to put a 30L inch by 35L with a 15D that I bought from home depot for a fraction of cost, home depot cut it..smh. So the installer ran into a couple of things he had to make adjustments and instead of sending someone else out made it his business, to ensure he was present so things would go smoothly and they did. I could go on and on but let me get to the good part, Cindy my designer no bueno, it started off good but went down south fast, very fast talker and I should have identified her tactics sooner before it was too late, she didn't care whether design was what I really wanted, she drew some things that looked similar to my inspiration but was off enough it became a "normal" pantry, she was NEVER available except during night hours after 9pm or while driving and at some point after several miscommunication elected not to even communicate with her. I have text and recorded calls that Noone was interested in, even for coaching purposes. It's obvious Cindy can't handle the workload and as a result my project suffered. I am having several things done in my home and California closets will be my go to. Her fast talking and lying had me giving closets a premature commitment. California came out with a iPad and design software and was able to put my measurements in and literally pulled up what I wanted, digital copy. Cindy did hers with pen. I'm pissed , Cindy lied, Cindy over committed and Cindy didn't play nice...closets could have 10's of thousands of future dollars spent with me, but I'll move forward

My experience with CBD was nothing short of phenomenal! From my first interaction with the sweetest receptionists to my interaction with my design consultant, Lady T., and Chris, my installation expert, they were all kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Lady T was very helpful and patient with me and my many questions!!! She was able to help me design my dream closet from a practical standpoint, adding a few bells and whistles, all while helping me stay within my budget. That was tough!😂 I had the opportunity to go to the showroom, and let me tell you, the receptionist (sorry, I can’t remember her name) was excellent and helpful! She delightfully answered my questions and provided valuable feedback. During my visit to the showroom, I was introduced to another lady who helped me make minor changes to my initial design; she was accommodating!!! I Can’t remember her name, but she was to the left of the receptionist. Last but not least, Chris, the installer, It’s an expert in his field. He came in fully prepared, armed with insight and Experience that aided him in effortlessly installing my closet! The morning of my installation, Chris Notified me of his arrival. He appeared on time, bright-eyed and bushy tail. Locked in and ready to go! Chris was a one-person show who was very efficient in his skill set. Of my questions because I still have any questions, Lol. I highly recommend the Birmingham CBD Team!!!

Update: The manager, Tyree, contacted me after my original post. I sent a video and additional closet pictures to him. His response was swift and immediate about replacing the damaged panels and shelves to honor the lifetime warranty. A rep contacted me that day to set up the removal and replacement. On Thursday, January 4, an experienced installer, Demetrius, was great and completed the work needed in a professional, timely manner. Tyree also text to be sure I would let him know if there were any problems, which there were none. My daughter’s new reach-in closet is beautiful! I am so impressed by the excellent customer service that I highly recommend Closets By Design of Central AL. This is an uncommon occurrence of a company standing by their warranty by ensuring installation of quality products and customer satisfaction! Thank you, Tyree and team!

Excellent experience from beginning to end. I had some unique requirements and my consultant took everything into account, helped make suggestions that I would not have even though of, and it all came together beautifully! Installation took longer than he estimated, but I'd rather have someone take their time and do it right than rush through the job. He was amazing. Highly recommend this company for whatever your organization needs are!

Closets By Design did a great job of designing my master bedroom closet and kitchen pantry. We were delayed about a month on completing a reconstruction of the roof damage over the closet but they were very good at rescheduling the install of the closet and pantry. The installation was very professionally completed to my specifications. I could not be more pleased with rhe results. Everyone who sees it has closet envy. Thanks Closets By Design.

Initial consultation for our pantry was awesome. Alexis explained everything and developed a design that fit our space and needs. The price was very reasonable. The day of installation was mediocre. We were told the installer would start between 10-12. I called the office at 1 and was told he would arrive between 1:30 and 2. The installer arrived at 2:45. He did awesome job. He finished around 7:30pm. He left saw dust in front of garage that we didn't notice until we tracked it through the house. I love our pantry. I'm glad we went with Closets By Design. I would recommend them to my friends.

Closets By Design helped my closet idea and vision come to life! Our designer, Kristina, saw pictures of what I was thinking, and she drew up the perfect design. She made the process so easy from start to finish and helped me stay within our budget. Our installer, Wayne, also did an outstanding job. Everything looks perfect. Everyone I worked with was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend them!

My closet turned out amazing. Starting the process was very easy and the buildout was done exactly to the specifications. The installers were friendly and professional. I do need to add they were late both days so that kind of threw my day off a little bit, but they got the job done with no issues. Overall, happy that this was the company I went with after getting quotes from a couple of others.
