Straw and Co. Fine Woodwork

Jason did a wonderful job with our kitchen. The Fumed Lorch lowers with white glossy uppers turned out incredible. He installed soft close Blum hardware for a clean finish. Several details were incorporated to accommodate the LED lighting. The final product looks like a fine piece of jewelry. A lot of care was used in packaging the 3 crates for shipping. We will use Straw Woodworks for future custom cabinetry and millwork.

We love our kitchen! We initially met with Jason to get some designs for new cabinets for our kitchen. He drew up plans for us and we then contracted with him to build and install those plans. Jason takes the time to show you various options and is very knowledgeable about his craft. He answered all of my questions (I had a lot of them!) and did not have any surprises along the way in terms of price or timelines once they got started. His crew is very professional and meticulous. Our house has an open floor plan and the kitchen is now the a beautiful showpiece for the house. I smile every time I look at it! Not only is it beautiful (just look at that pantry!), it is also super functional. Jason and his team thought of things like changing up the way cabinets open in tough to reach places like over the fridge. I recommend Jason and his crew for any kitchen renovation project.

Straw and Company was a pleasure to work with from the first correspondence to the finished table in my dining room. Since I had a specific table size request and wanted something of quality, custom building a table was my only option. Figuring out the right dimensions, talking price, arranging a pickup, etc., it all went smoothly and quickly. The quality of my kitchen table is just amazing. It is better than any Arhaus or Pottery Barn table and it was a cheaper price point. The material is gorgeous, strong and sturdy. It is a statement piece in my kitchen that makes everything else look dingy and cheap in comparison. I have already told friends and family about this wonderful company.

We heard great things about Straw Fine Woodworking and knew that we wanted to go with them. We still priced out other cabinet companies and found Straw was competitive but with much higher quality products. Jason and Neil walked us through the design process, listening to our challenges, and offering creative ideas to help our kitchen come to life. They did an excellent job communicating through the whole process, helping us understand our options for veneer, hardware, cabinet size/design and placement. Once it was all finalized, we got in the installation que. The installation took about a week and was done with a high level of professionalism and communication. Our house is older and includes some variation in the floor and ceiling levelness, and thus challenges in making the cabinets look right. Patrick and the installation crew did an excellent job making it look seamless. They even went above and beyond by correcting some flooring inconsistencies, installing the sink, and installing the microwave with vent. The final product looks amazing! Our kitchen looks clean and sharp. You can see the before pictures with the 1950s cabinets and appliances and then the new ones that Straw installed.

Jason and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They created and installed custom cabinets in our kitchen, master bathroom and guest bathroom. He also updated outdated wood windowsills with modern, clean white sills. Created and installed is an understatement. We underwent a renovation in our home and Jason and his installation team (Patrick and Jay) helped the whole way - from fine tuning the design, to completing drawings for our contractors and subs, to fork lifting a refrigerator into my home. I don't know of another business that would do this. Responsive, timely, professional, etc. Prices more than fair, and great service across the board. Patrick and Jay left my house clean throughout installation. I cannot say enough positive things.

We had several people tell us that what we wanted to do required a speciality cabinet maker and they recommended Straw and Company. We met with Jason and worked out all that we wanted and he worked on getting it done. The quality is fantastic, everything fits together perfectly, seems and joints are all aligned. One of a kind kitchen that fits our house perfectly. I spend most of my day in this area of the house and it was worth every dollar.

Jason and his team are the ultimate craftsmen. We worked with Straw and Co. on a major kitchen renovation, custom mantel and entertainment center and a master bathroom renovation. Jason has an artist's eye and provided suggestions that aligned with my vision for the design. My custom cabinets were made with amazing wood veneers in unique varieties as well as glass. Jason works well with various materials. When it was time for installation, Jason and his team were efficient, on time and kept the work space clean. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Jason again (and I plan on it)!

From start to finish, the process of working with Jason and his team was easy and fun, and the finished product is absolutely stunning. We started with an overly complicated design of our own, but Jason expertly guided us to a simpler and, frankly, more beautiful design. A visit to the studio to pick wood was fun, and we were glad he let us borrow samples to make the final choice because the hands-down winner was not the one we expected! The guys who came to install the cabinetry were professional, did excellent work, and were lovely to have around for the two days it took to complete the job. And the final product looks better than I could have imagined! We absolutely love it and are already thinking about what other projects we might be able to do with Jason and his team.
