I had Residential Concrete Works pour a patio extension and pad for a future shed. Rick (estimator) was professional and helped answer questions as appropriate. He walked through some options and ultimately I decided to go with this company as their quote was competitive and they could get the work done quickly (within days). The job was scheduled for a Thursday, they called the day prior and asked if they could come a day early to complete the job. I was off so I went ahead and had them start. From the time Lino showed up until job completion, it was about 4 hours. There seemed to be a bit of a disconnect between Lino and Rick, but that didn't affect the job at all. I did get upsold on the job (expanding even further), but ultimately I think it makes sense for the space. The crew did a great job, and did a great job taking care to minimize damage/mess. They did damage a sprinkler line, but sent a guy the next day to fix it - great customer service! I love that they swept up and took time to clean up after the job. Overall, I'm happy with the job. Would happily give 5/5 stars, with two exceptions. 1) The downspout pictured was previously made into a French drain with corrugated plastic piping. This should have been swapped for solid PVC prior to them pouring. Now some water will escape the piping and end up on top of the patio, hopefully it will not affect the patio or cause any significant drainage issues. 2) The pump truck used was leaking oil and left a bit of a mess in front of my house. This will fade over time, but seems like a common issue when concrete trucks/pumps are used. In the end, I would give them our business again!

I had Leno and his crew pour. My backyard patio is slab for my shed and the driveway. We added another 4 feet to the driveway horrible job. I talked to Leno about the driveway and his fix was to paint it which became very slippery and looked horrible since then I’ve had it redone and our back patio has chips and everything cracks everywhere. I would not recommend this company ever, plus he tried to upsell us on everything

Response from the owner

Dear Mike, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We appreciate your trust in allowing Leno and our crew to handle your backyard patio and driveway. If there are any specific concerns you would like us to address, please kindly reach out to us directly so we can work towards a resolution. Do Not Get Stamped Concrete By this company!!! I wanted to love my stamped concrete but after 2 to 3 years of having it, it's cracking and chipping everywhere!!! I was told it's because of it not being good quality concrete and poor laying of the concrete company!!!! I have told Lino many times it was chipping but I'm sure after he got his 5k he was done with me. Sad sad .also the stairs I had him put in was separating from the wall. Poor Poor quality Smh Alexa is my name !! In Aurora Leno knows who I am!

Response from the owner

LR we are sorry to hear about the cracking... We always give a one year warranty as you probably know by now. Since this falls after the warranty we generally try to help you seal the cement when cracking occurs. Please call us or leave your real name used on the order so we can see what solutions are available.

We are so happy with the concrete work that we got done.  Rick came out a couple weeks ago to give us an estimate and we were very happy that it was reasonably in our budget.  Lino and his crew arrived on time and we walked through beforehand to clarify what we wanted done.  Our stairs were sinking so we got those replaced.  We wanted a walkway added from the driveway to the back gate instead of the rock that was previously there.  Going in the backyard to the walkway was pavers with bushes lining either side.  The whole patio had pavers that were sinking all over the place, plus we wanted to extend it so we can finally fit outdoor furniture on it and got a couple stairs off of the back door that are beautiful and safer to walk down.  We are very satisfied with the overall look of the new concrete patio, along with the stairs and walkway.  Lino was very genuine and kind and made this patio project very seamless and straightforward and got it all done in a day.

We are Glad to here everything went well Melinda and hope to serve you in the future!

I had an existing patio that needed to be extended and they added a step down to creatively accommodate the weird slant in my yard. They extended my driveway and created a path so we can access the back yard. NOW, they canceled my original date of March 25. The weather was too cold. So, here is how they handled the situation. They called multiple times to ensure I knew they needed to reschedule. This is important because I work some nights. They promptly scheduled based on the weather for the following Monday. They called Sunday night to provide a window to arrive. They arrived on time and finished the work professionally. Please forgive the messy rocks, the rest is a work in progress now that we have the concrete done.

Response from the owner

Annette, thank you so much! We appreciate your kind words. Please let us know if you if need anything else done with the concrete going forward. Residential Concrete Works

They showed up about an hour & 40 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, but they got right to work knocking out the old patio. The job was done quick, only about 2 hours for the demo & pouring/finishing the new patio. They had to remove part of the fence and it wasn't put back together properly. They left concrete splatters on the fence & windows, and never came back to remove the wood framing which I had to do myself. The splatters aren't a huge deal because it's basically mud with how diluted it was, but it looks bad. A little extra care to avoid it or cleanup would be nice. Patio looks nice though & they were tied with the lowest of my 4 estimates. And I got a couple hundred dollars worth of 2x6 so that's a plus

Response from the owner

Hello Chris, I apologize on behalf of the clean up crew and would like to schedule a time for the guys to go out there.

My fiancé and I were very excited after getting our quote for our back patio, which went quickly and smoothly. Despite being one of our more expensive quotes, we elected to move forward with Residential Concrete Works for our patio job because of the high quality and fast schedule promised to us during the quote process. We assumed that by paying more, we would receive higher quality work. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The job started by the team announcing they were here to do a retaining wall. We were confused but confirmed with them that they were doing our back patio. We should have seen this as a red flag. There were several oversights and lazy techniques that occurred by our project team. To name a few, concrete was spilled not only on the street outside our home, but down our driveway and all over the new flagstone patio adjacent to the concrete install. Our grass was severely damaged, and will take new sod and soil repair to bring it back to its previous condition. The team disregarded our request to avoid our sprinkler system, and now our concrete slab covers a large portion of the sprinkler system. The team got concrete on the side of our 100 year old brick house, in several locations. The sealant was sprayed in stripes and left the patio looking unfinished. They clogged the main drain for our driveway with cement which ended up flooding our garage. Lastly, the team did not power wash the concrete, prior to sealing it, causing dirt and debris to be permanently sealed into the slab's surface. As for the quality of the work, just 2 days after the job was completed, a large crack appeared through an entire back section of the slab. We reached out to Residential Concrete Works to communicate our disappointment with the final product. We exhaustively requested that they send the individual who gave us the quote to walk the project with us. Three separate times they confirmed someone would show up to meet with us, and all three times no one came. We are extremely disappointed in our decision of choosing Residential Concrete Works, and will not be using them again for our upcoming projects. Please refer to pictures below. If you decide to use this company please do not pay them until the project is 100% done and to your satisfaction. You have been warned.

Response from the owner

Garrett we are sorry you are unhappy with the work done and had issues. Please let us know how we might remedy this situation in a fair way to make everything better.

We used them in 2016, and to this day, I still hate the work they did and I want to at least have all the glaze removed and redone so it is all the same color. They didn’t even glaze the side of the concrete that they had to re-do and you can see the difference from the street. Here is my original review: 7/13/2016 When we called for a quote they were very professional and were able to get someone (Lino, the owner) right away to give us a quote. Lino arrived early and gave us a quote on the spot and said it would only take one day to complete. His quote was much lower than other companies. He promised we would be happy with the results. Came over a few weeks later when we decided we wanted to go with Residential Concrete Works and we picked out our stamp pattern and concrete color and scheduled a day for work to begin. We waited all day and they never showed up. After calling Lino repeatedly we finally called the office and they sent guys over to begin digging (even though we weren't home at that point). The next day they arrived on time but Lino's brother was the one doing the work. Lino never wrote down the stamp pattern or color that we wanted or and we had to leave for a previously scheduled event (remember, it should've only taken one day, but they didn't arrive till the evening on the scheduled day). When we got home it was a different color and pattern than we had requested and they ran out of concrete part way through the job. It took them several days to come back and finish the work, and when they did, it was a different color and the stamp pattern wasn't as deep. Lino tried to argue with us that it was the same color and even tried to collect payment. We told him we would not pay and would file with the BBB if he didn't fix it. He finally agreed and they tore out the section that was a different color and then repoured it. It STILL wasn't the same color and the stamp pattern was a different direction. Lino came over and rather than fixing it, he gave us $1000 off of the price. I would've preferred it to be fixed because now it is not flush with our driveway and I trip over the higher lip every time I walk on it. Also, the glaze they put on top has bubbles in it, they over poured parts of the concrete so there are large portions that are poured into our rocks and they never bothered to clean it up, and the stairs they poured are huge and take up 1/3 of the patio. I am so unhappy with it and wish we had went with a company that cost more....maybe then we would have gotten quality results. I honestly want to tear it out and put in something else.

Response from the owner

Layne we are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the work. Please let us know of a fair compromise that would make you happy.
