All my interactions with Southern Dry have been very positive and I would highly recommend them. I purchased my system from them in 2020 and they have always promptly followed up and provided any warranty service that I have needed with absolutely no hassle whatsoever. JD, their service tech, in particular has been very easy to deal with and always answers my questions along with taking care of any needs for my system. This young man is a true asset to this company! If you need an encapsulation and/or water removal under your home, they are an excellent and reliable option!

These guys were awesome! I was going with another competitor and was working with them since November. And once I was ready to go they did not answer the phone or my email. These guys came from Alabama 2 hours to my home in Georgia and told me pretty much what the other guys told me but they gave me options instead of just tearing my finished basement apart. They helped me think outside of the box about my situation with my basement and crawlspace instead of just trying to take my money. They came in my home and was finished in 2 days and now no more flooding!! They were professional and explained everything step by step! Thanks guys I appreciate your services ❤️

I hired Southern Dry to inspect a property I was buying and had an awesome experience. They were easy to schedule, kept me informed of arrival times, and provided a free estimate. The quote was right on target, and they didn't upsell any unnecessary features. Calvin was friendly, professional and seemed to love his job. I didn't end up buying the house so can't speak to their work, but I highly recommend calling them if you need any foundation work done.

I was very impressed and satisfied with the encapsulation they did for me. Jason was very honest with what I needed to have done and he didn't badger me or use sales gimmicks to get my business. The installers did a great job, and everything went according to their plan, and I was kept informed of any changes during the process. It is refreshing to deal with a company that does what it says it will and on time!

We needed some plumbing work, and when the plumber who we've known for years told us that out crawl space was in terrible shape and needed work before the plumbing work could begin. We did some research, made some calls and asked SouthernDry Waterproofing & Foundation Repair Specialist to come out, do an evaluation, and give us a quote. We've got a 2,000 square foot space, and our space was well beyond bad, it was terrible. THe picture was typical. All the vapor barriers were on the ground, but chipped, torn, or missing, all the insulation was on the ground, and it seemed like everything was covered in mold (lots of different colored mold). We signed the contract that day.
The cleaning team arrived shortly after that. They all wore HAZMAT suits with hoods and respirator air filters. Over the next several days they removed tens of dozens of big, industrial, trash bags, and then one morning the mountain of bags was gone. When they returned they had the industrial strength barrier material which they used to encapsulate the crawl space. They also installed a dehumidifier and a sump pump. A drain line from the pump takes any water away from the crawl space, and that brings me to the last part of this review. I could not remember where the drain line exited to the surface and therefore couldn't verify that it was working. I called SouthernDry and asked if someone could come out to (1) locate the line exit) and (2) verify that all was in order. He took me to the exit point to show me how he had marked it. I asked him how everything looked and he said that everything looked great and there were no odors coming from plumbing leaks so everything was doing what it was supposed to do. I would highly recommend
SouthernDry Waterproofing & Foundation Repair Specialist. On time, no surprise costs, and no charge for the service call.

I've been very happy with my experience with SouthernDry. The first employee who came out to give me a quote for encapsulation was super helpful; he showed me pictures from my crawlspace, explained what he recommended for my drainage issues and how each component would work, and also explained what could and couldn't wait. No one pushed extra services, the pricing was very transparent, and they offered a lot of financing options. I ended up asking them to price match another company and was surprised when they actually beat the competitor's price.
As for the work, the team showed up on time, completed the work by the time they said they would, and didn't leave trash around my house. They were really professional, and even though I work from home, there was hardly any disruption during the work. Best of all, the improvements they added (drains, sump pump, dehumidifier, encapsulation) are working really well to correct the drainage issues in my yard and humidity issues in my house. 100% would use SouthernDry again.

They got the job done, but overall, I was not impressed. The encapsulation looked good and I was happy with the crawl space. They did an excellent job in that area of the home.
On the helical pier installation, they did several things that I didn’t feel were right. First, they made me disassemble my stairs from the basement garage to the 2nd level house so they could install the piers inside the garage. After I did this, on the first day of work, they changed their minds and decided to install the piers from the outside. So I was left to fix that unnecessary work I had to do by myself and at my cost. They did not bring the right tools for the operation and used my hand and power tools from the garage several times. They used several of my 5 gallon buckets from my garage and did not replace them. When they re-poured the concrete they took out to install 2 of the helical piers, they did not bring their own wood but used my wood from my garage and did not replace it. Also, the concrete poured out underneath the bracing and left a large pool of hardened concrete past the edge of the pour, which they did not return to fix. When digging the holes on the back side of the house, they hit the side of my house with the digger, causing surface damage to the siding and did not repair that. They used my hose for water and left the tap open during the deep freeze. The next day, they removed my hose from the spigot but since they had left the hose on, the water was frozen solid. They left the hose off and the water line in the open position and when the ice cap melted, water sprayed out of the tap for hours when I wasn’t home. When I texted them about that, there was no response. After the job was complete, the holes that they filled in after the helical pier installation all sagged down and though I made multiple calls and texts to ask what I needed to do, if anything, I received no response from them. Also, they cracked my entrance sidewalk concrete and did not fill it in. I was disappointed overall, but I can’t say they didn’t get the work done. Due to their lack of preparedness, the fact that they took my things and did not replace them and the complete lack of communication and follow up once they got paid, and if you value communication to get questions answered after the completion paperwork is signed, I would personally go another route for helical pier installations.
UPDATE:
The owner, John, contacted me personally and gathered details on exactly what had happened and who was involved. The information he received from me was the first he had heard about it, and he spent a lot of time and resources to take care of everything, down to minute details. I was quite impressed with the response, the positive attitude and the obvious care about the customer and the situation that they displayed with the resolutions provided. I am confident that should there be any further needs, they will take care of those and will stand behind their work and their people. I certainly can say without question that they do care and are anxious to make sure that things are done the right way, and they take service to their customers very seriously. Thank you for the response to my concerns from you, John, and the whole team. It has been much appreciated!

From the moment we made first contact, Southern Dry has been nothing but top notch. We were able to set up our visit for the estimate with ease and in the not too distant future. When an earlier appointment opened up, they offered it to us. Don came out and was very prompt. He called to let me know he was on the way and was right on time. He did what he needed and came back with a quote which he explained thoroughly. The quote was less than half of what had been quoted to us by a larger local company over 10 years ago. We were able to qualify for their financing which was with a very reputable company as well. We secured our date for the work and things progressed quickly. We were contacted every step of the way about every phase of the project. They even texted to say they were going to call us so if it was an inconvenient time, we could reschedule or call them. They confirmed every appointment. The leader of the work crew called to say he was about an hour away at 9:20am the morning of the project. He was standing at my door at 10:24am. Now that is impressive and much appreciated. The day went well and they finished as promised. They have called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and the finance company did too. From start to finish, Southern Dry has been the most professional, caring, and responsive company I have ever worked with in my life (and that’s the truth). We were so impressed that we offered to write a review without even being asked. We hardly ever do that. We would recommend Southern Dry to anyone in need of their services. It will be the best choice you could make.
