Jeff is not a reliable partner. I gave him a large job and paid him in full. I am having issues due to workmanship and he has done little but jerked me around for a year. After he takes your money he’s history. I would not recommend this company!

We just had a new second floor deck installed on the back of our high-ranch house in West Babylon. Jeff and his crew were extremely professional and did an amazing job. We could not be happier with the completed job. It was a major investment and we are not accustomed to hiring people to complete work on our house. Jeff was clearly so experienced and was able to explain all the options, definitely putting us at ease. Not only did they complete the project prior to Thanksgiving as requested, they showed up and finished early. We highly recommend Decks Only for any decking needs you have.

We had a fairly complicated repair project. Jeff got everything done in a very professional way, from helping us work with an architect, to obtaining all permits, all the way to the final inspection. The crew was extremely nice and always listened to all of our requests. They started working on time and finished the project on time. I couldn't be happier. My old pressure treated deck got damaged by a tree, and now I have an all new composite deck with all new railing and completely rebuilt stairs. I highly recommend working with DecksOnly and with Jeff.

We worked with Jeff and his crew to replace our wood deck with Trex and build a patio. Jeff was really easy to work with and his crew was amazing! They were responsible, professional, meticulous, and worked REALLY hard. It was nice to work with the same company for the deck and patio because everything was well coordinated. The final day of work it poured and they stayed late to complete the job. Prices were in line with other estimates we got. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Jeff and the crew did a great job on our backyard deck. Jeff listened and incorporated our ideas and also made some very beneficial enhancements as well.
The crew were hard working , knowledgeable and friendly to work with. You could tell the crew cared about the quality of the project .
Project was done on time and on budget as promised.
I would highly recommend Decks Only!

We had a wonderful experience with Jeff and his assigned crew that worked on our deck replacement project. Jeff was very helpful in advising us with the design, and his crew was so professional and meticulous with the installation phase. The new deck is perfect and a very attractive addition to our yard. We would highly recommend Decks Only for your decking project.

We replaced an old deck with a new one. The old deck was constructed of the usual pressure treated lumber. Due to the age of the deck, the wood surfaces had extensive cracks, splinters and nail pops. We had it completely torn down.
We decided to use deck flooring made of IPE, a Brazilian hardwood, which has stronger and more durable characteristics than concrete. It’s used for the refurbished decking at Jones Beach. Provided it is oil finished, it will look new for many, many years; it greys without oil preservation.
We interviewed five builders. Some did not know what IPE is, and most did not suggest obtaining a building permit for a replacement deck. After first talking with Victor, and then with Jeff, we knew Decks Only was the right choice. Jeff correctly urged obtaining a permit, which was essential to eventually obtaining a revised CO. (When we bought our house, the previous owner was missing a CO on the deck, which required a correction in the construction, thus delaying the closing on the house).
Jeff submitted a written quote with a thorough description of what the project would include and provided a CAD drawing of the proposed deck for the purpose of permit application. Such an application requires a PE or architect stamp. As a PE, I was able to sign and stamp the drawing and submit the permit application to the Town of Oyster Bay.
Some weeks later the permit arrived, and work soon began once the winter weather was sufficiently warm.
The finished deck is right out of the pages of a deck magazine or book. It’s gorgeous. The design is something that I would not have imagined. Jeff did his thing, and we are very happy with the superior construction and look.
The new deck was one of four key aspects of redoing the outside of the house, with the other three being new siding. front walk & patio and landscaping.
Finally, the price is commensurate with what we paid for. We didn’t price shop that much, as the other proposed builders were disqualified before even talking about price. We built two prior decks on other houses we owned. So we know what this project should cost.
This time around we are glad Jeff built this deck. Not us!
