Green Shield Deck Builders

My entire experience with Green Shield was great. The salesman who came to my home initially was polite, the sales team was great and project lead Chase was especially helpful. Constantly kept me up to date on the status, answered all my questions and was extremely respectful of the property when building. A deck is a major purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Green Shield. The entire experience was *chefs kiss*.

John was great with communicating with us and always asked if we had any questions. He was friendly, polite and courteous and he and his team did an outstanding job on our deck! We are so happy with the outcome!

Working with Corey Giangrande has been a pleasure so far in this process. He was way more informed than some other quotes and businesses that came out. Very thorough and detailed so far Greenshield is exceeding expectations and can’t wait for new deck install. Before pics below

Update: they reached out after a public review and made an attempt to make things right. They only made things worse by trashing my deck once again, poor communication, and what seems to be an internal issue of not having a proper CRM. Spoke with several “ managers” that stated they would make things right but never came through in the end. This company does production building and cares little about quality or service. Stay away. Was not a great experience from start to finish. Poor communication, not organized, left garbage everywhere, destroyed my lawn where it wasn’t necessary, didn’t clean up when finally complete, finished deck quality not the best. Would not recommend.

We are very pleased with the work that Riley and Austin did on our new deck we couldn't be happier. They were really nice and respectful of our home and answered all the questions we asked. The work they did was extremely well and finding out that we had clay underneath the deck and made the job a little harder to do. Nevertheless they got the job done and in a timely manner which we were very pleased. We appreciate the clean-up they did no trash or anything left behind. In all we're very happy with our deck and glad we chose Green Shield and appreciate the work Riley and Austin did.

Best experience with a contractor I have had. From start to finish, every employee I encountered at Green Shield was personable, knowledgeable, and transparent. They tore down my old deck in 2.5 hours, and built the new one in five days, just in time for spring. I would highly recommend using them if you are looking for a professional deck builder with top-tier product and timely execution.

We are so very happy with our new composite Green Shield deck! It’s absolutely stunning, and I’m not just talking about the view! Wonderful company to work with, everyone has been great. I would like to give a very special thanks to our deck crew, Riley and Austin. Not only were they friendly and timely, they are true professionals and you could tell they took pride in their work. Attention to detail is immaculate.

We have mixed feelings about our experience. In the end it is a great product and we are happy with the overall look of the finished deck. Unfortunately, a few small details would have easily bumped the review to a 5 star. The crew showed up on time and did have good communication but the quality we were left with showed a focus more on time than high quality work. They were simply not careful about handling the material during install and then placing tools on the deck during the process. This resulted in MANY scratches on both the deck boards and railing. The crew went through and fixed (by melting/forming) the deep ones out but we were still left with many small scratches throughout. It's disappointing to be left with this end result on a new, expensive deck. We were told that some of these come from the factory and that they picked the best boards but it was clear by the scratch patterns that many happened because they just weren't careful and didn't set cardboard or a tarp down to protect the product. We were also told when we signed the contract that the product was very scratch resistant and the boards could be flipped over if a scratch occurred. This apparently changed before we got ours and we weren't told of that change before the install started. I still would and do recommend this company overall but hope they can improve training with their crews to make these small changes to leave all their clients with a higher quality end result.
