The finished product was what was promised. The path to get there had a few bumps in the road. Some miscommunication between the office and workers and a ledger board that was not used in the 1st attempt. But they were professional and fixed all mistakes promptly.

Footprint was a wonderful experience. Hector was a very organized and responsive lead. We made small adjustments and asked for some minor things at the end…done perfectly! They promised to work during the winter and boy did they—-coldest week in C Springs in 60 years and on time through all that. They built us a custom shed underneath deck for 25% less than any wood shed anywhere. Incredible! Best part was phenomenal build and attention to detail. Footprint is what a construction business should be.

We have a new deck, and we absolutely love it! Many thanks to Footprint Decks and Design! They did our deck remodel and expansion. We are extremely pleased! Excellent craftsmanship and care was taken during the demolition and construction! We are thrilled to have worked with them and would work with them again.

5 STARS IS NOT ENOUGH!!! THIS IS A 10 STAR COMPANY!!! I cannot recommend Footprint Decks & Design enough. In an era where you worry about entering into any type of contract for fear over quality of work, they are the anthesis - delivering nothing but exceptional results! They performed such superior work that after our original project started, we added on two more projects. It started with the demolition and removal of our large wooden deck, installed in 2000. The project wasn't an easy bulldoze and start over since half of the deck was under a structure...so while the joists were literally turning to mulch on one side, they were intact on the other - a fact the company was upfront and honest about! Footprint was able to remove the rotted side of the deck while salvaging the good side and, while doing so, identified rot in the plywood exterior under the door (under where the rotten deck used to be). They immediately came to get me to look at the situation so I could tell them what I wanted to do. I asked them to repair the rot, and while they did, they also put insulation inside the wall because there wasn't any. This was on day 1, they started going above and beyond - and they continued to work this way until the paint dried on the final project. During the deck rebuild they welcomed me on site, asked me questions about the design, and were extremely responsive, professional, proficient, and just fun to be around. In one instance when we didn't like the way a frame in the decking looked, without question or hesitation, they removed several boards to recut the frame. It turned out perfect. In another instance when we wanted to change the placement of a post they, again, without hesitation were making the change before we finished asking if they would! At this point we asked if they could replace all the lattice work on the underside of the deck because with how well everything was turning out we couldn't ignore the old lattice. It felt like we would have done a disservice to the deck if we left it. They immediately spoke with us about options, placed the order, and had the materials delivered, and ready for installation. Before the first deck was even complete, we hired them to build another one on the other side of our house. That's how good these guys are. We just kept adding on projects because the quality of work they delivered was so good. I always believe that the integrity of a company is measured by how they respond when things go wrong and, again, they overperformed here. When our second deck looked a little off after framing, I sent photos to Nathan, the owner. He replied immediately, was on my property the next morning, took one look at the framing, said I was right and had the entire structure scrapped. They started over from scratch. His standards are not just high, they are in a whole other world. This is why you should hire this company. In good times and bad, they are the modern day, dream contractor. Our finished products are even better than this review. I was truly sad to see them leave once the last project was completed. We plan to have them come back to do a hardscape for us in the future and, in the meantime, are loving both of our decks! I truly cannot recommend a company more. Bravo, Footprint Decks & Design!

Footprint rebuilt 3 decks for us; 1 was extended (450sqft), 2 had engineering challenges. We added on a skirting on the larger deck. Footprint was creative to accomplish a completed look to include the skirting on back and a perfect matching stucco to our home for an enclosure on the front deck. As with all construction projects, there were setbacks and challenges; Footprint addressed all of our concerns and wishes timely and to our satisfaction. Hector and Noah oversaw the project. Hector has a lot of experience and a great eye for ideas. Our crew (Ryan, Jacobus, Kyle, Tommy, Mike) were great, listened to our feedback, answered our numerous questions and were respectful. They built 3 beautiful decks. We went with upgraded Deckorators Voyage line for our decking; more slip and heat resistant and Fortress for our railings. Worth it.

We love our new covered deck! Footprint was quick and efficient; they tore down and hauled off our old, smaller deck and then built us a new. larger deck with a roof over it. We were delighted with the quality of their work as well as their responsiveness, and the cost was very reasonable. We're looking forward to enjoying summer and entertaining on our new, bigger deck!

Shelby was professional and prompt throughout the process. The team addressed any and all concerns throughout the install and left us with a stunning deck replacement. The entire team from Footprint Decks was a pleasure to work with, from concept to closing. We came in with something in mind, they turned it into reality, well-built, on time and at the right price. I've got no doubts that if you came in and said "I want something, I'm not sure what it is, and I'm not sure what I want to spend..." Footprint would deliver. But...plowing through design without a preconceived notion of what you want will take time, and you'll probably end up mid-project wondering what color/wood/beams/etc. you really want. They'll make the change -- because they're super responsive to the customer -- but it will delay your project. I also know we've got another deck project in our neighborhood that started around the same time that uses a lot of subcontractors. It has taken forever for them to get to their 85% mark. Footprint came in with a defined plan, had all their own workers and work lined up, and worked with responsive subs where they had to. We were a 6-ish week project from start to finish...that other project is still going up. That's what Footprint will do for you -- get the design right, get the project done right, and get it done on time. It's taken me a while to get to this review, mostly because I spent most of the fall out enjoying the new deck with covered porch and haven't had time to write it. (Sorry, Shelby, and thanks for the reminder.) Our family loves our new outdoor space designed and built by Footprint -- you will too.
