I had a positive experience with Travis from Bolt Electric. He was knowledgeable, on time, and efficient. Travis provided clear explanations for the work needed and completed the job effectively. I appreciated his professionalism and would recommend Bolt Electric for straightforward and reliable electrical services.

I’d hired them to install alumiconn connectors throughout my house and they missed the outlet at the head of my bed, luckily I noticed a weird zapping sound in the wall before falling asleep and was not burned to death due to their negligence. The lady seemed annoyed when I wanted someone to come out ASAP to correct it. They also replaced an outlet in my kitchen which melted-the Bolt technician blamed a lightning strike, all the other electricians stated it was likely due to loose wiring. Edit: I have never used a surge strip in my kitchen, this is an outright lie. My microwave, refrigerator, and oven are all on their own outlets and not on the kitchen outlet in question. Unless the owner is confusing me with someone else whose house they almost burned down. Bolt missed an additional outlet above my stove and needed to come out shortly after the original repair which they are neglecting to mention. The “repairs” they made in 2024-the outlet they didn’t bother to add an alumiconn to the first time still does not work, and the kitchen outlet they poorly installed then “fixed” already needs to be entirely replaced and they did not use an alumiconn in it.

Response from the owner

After reviewing your service history we originally came out to your home on 9/30/2021 to perform an alumicon redevice as required by your home owners insurance. At the start of the job you were made aware that the panel in your home was obsolete, not functioning properly and needed to be replaced. At which point you informed the technician you only wanted to address the alumicon redevice that your home owners insurance was requiring you to address. We obliged and completed the work. On 2/27/2024 you called us and informed us “you missed a plug and one in my kitchen is not working”. On 2/28/2024 we dispatched a technician. The plug you said we missed was a plug covered by a blank plate, as shown in your photos. You can not put a blank plate over a damaged plug but in your home that’s what someone did. We went ahead and replaced the plug at no additional charge. You then brought the technician to your kitchen were you have one single plug powering your entire kitchen because of the age of the home. You plugged a surge strip into that plug and ran your fridge microwave and all over kitchen appliances except the oven off one plug. This is a code violation and safety concern. When we made you aware of the issue you told us you didn’t want to make the needed repairs. Your panels breakers don’t trip due to over load and is causing things to burn up in the home when you run more electricity through the connectors and wiring than they are rated for. Unfortunately older homes require updating to bring them up to code and safety standards. You neglected to make the additional repairs to your home and 3 years later you were having issues again. Even though your warranty on the work had expired we still fixed the issues at no additional cost. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact the office. Thank you.

Fast, easy, reasonably priced. Small project - putting up a floodlight in the back yard of our new house. I called one day, had an in person free estimate the next day, and had the install done the following morning. Great team and easy to work with. Strongly recommend using Bolt!

Travis was a phenomenal electrician, who was prompt and professional throughout the entire project (EV Charger/240v socket/home surge protector) and always looked to ensure i understood what was happening whenever i was curious. I plan on having bolt work on future projects and will strongly recommend "By name" referencing him.
