Last December I spoke to John who was very nice and promptly provided a quote to replace recessed lights and install a fan. The tech arrived on time and was very nice. The 8 new LED recessed lights, which I provided, were install in 20 mins. Next they went to install a fan - which had 6 parts missing. So they were unable to complete the job. Despite this - I paid the full quote of $675 for the job - told by the tech that John said “he’d work with me” when the new replacement fan arrived. I re-scheduled Boston to have them come back - I was then told that it would be another $275 to install the replacement fan - yikes! But I approved it because I wanted to get the job done. The day of the install - the tech communicated that he way, communicated both the tech, John and the building. Guess what— they never installed it - and never said a word. I’ve called the office—to no response and texted John 2x - to no response. I thought these were good guys and I was even willing to pay ridiculous high prices. Terrible customer services.

Your electrician was very professional and took time to explain what was happening with my electrical system. He also diagnosed the problem with my ceiling fan, so I am able to get a free replacement fan from Hunter Fan Co. He also was instrumental in getting my Generac service company to come out today to take care of getting their box replaced and my a/c running again. He also helped with another fan's problem and my front porch light. He was a great help! I am a widow and not able to do these things myself.
Great company. John, the owner is very nice. Tommy, who did our work, was prompt, efficient, personable and cleaned up! Highly recommend!
The tech was on time and personable. However, the cost to replace / install 2 dimmer wall switches of $390.00 is far too excessive. I had agreed to the quote thinking that the job would require additional re-wiring within the walls. Total job time was 30 minutes. To your response below: Then a rate of $260.00 per hour - minus material cost - is still excessive.

Good Afternoon Patrick I am sorry you feel your did not get value from our service call visit to your home. We emailed you the quote with the description of the work which was to replace 2 dimmers that were not rated to control LED lights. It was promptly accepted by you and we scheduled the job the following day. Regarding the time frame on how long my tech was there is not quite accurate. Fortunately with issues such as this we had GPS installed in all of our service vehicles. The tracking record shows the tech left our shop in West Palm Beach at exactly 8:06 am and arrived at your home at 8:40 am. My tech completed the job and departed your home at 9:39 am. So in reality the time it took to start and finish on our end was 1 hour and 33 minutes. You will find that most contractors include travel time to the job which is often overlooked by the customer. This does not include time it took for me to pick up the dimmers from the supply house so my tech would have the proper materials for the job. John and his team did an outstanding job installing our Tesla wall charger. They were on time to the job, prompt with the installation, provided fair/competitive pricing, and had excellent customer service. I highly recommend Boston Electric for electrical installations and repairs.

Had to move electrical connection to hot tub. Also installed new light sconces outside garage door. The guys came over quickly, did the work quickly and professionally. Very pleased.
Awful company. No regards for the private properties and homes in the area. Called management and the company justified the employees trespassing on two private properties. They drove into 2 driveways fast (my neighbors and mine) where 2 small children reside. Company refused to apologize for incident and refused to address the issue thus justifying their actions. They could have simply asked their employees to be more respectful and never trespass into private properties. I was told the individuals who drove into both properties did not know where they had to go which is not true. They were just parked at the “right” property a few minutes ago and were there yesterday. They knew exactly what house it was! Do not hire them. Lack integrity and honesty which is reflective of the company as a whole. They could have seriously hurt my children, our neighbors and the landscaping crew that was working at our home at the time of the incident. They normally walk through our driveway. We are a small community and hire companies that work on our neighbors homes, in this case we highly recommend that you think twice.

To the public reading this review My technicians were working at a new address in a rental neighborhood and they had to turn around since they passed the house by mistake, they pulled into an adjacent driveway and continued on to the jobsite next door. I received a call shortly thereafter from Claudia hysterical that we pulled into the driveway and she was threatening to call the police and file a trespass report. I told her we were working for a landlord at the address nextdoor and I am sure my techs were not trespassing and we are sorry to use thedriveway to turn around but apparently that was not sufficient for her she then said her children could have been in the driveway and got hurt. She was very demanding about the situation so I just let her vent and told her I will talk to my techs about the using another persons driveway and hope she has a nice day. She then posts this review.😳
I came upon John and his team by chance and I'm glad I did! They were extremely knowledgeable and professional and made me feel valued as a customer - a rarity these days! The team also cleaned up after the job and explained to me what they did! Would highly recommend.
