My wife and I are looking to upgrade into a bigger home now for our family. As we reviewed what areas to improve in our house, it was clear that our floors were going to have the biggest impact the day we decided to sell. We were thinking small in this upgrade and considered only renovating a portion of our main level. Brian Maize is the owner of Elite Hardwood Flooring and personally walked with us and listened to our approach. He provided a wide range of options and, in sharing more numbers with us, helped us better understand our potential. What I really appreciated was seeing the range of flooring his team could install and he was educating us on the options we had without feeling like he was pushing a product. While we didn’t end up selecting a hardwood floor option, we instead went with a laminate called Frayed Rope. That is what fit our budget and we are extremely happy with the product and the installation. I again appreciated him walking us through the cost differences with clear bids and no pressure. On our final bid with him, he recommended we redo the stair landing, so the floors matched, and he provided the nose for the stairs so this all just flowed well. We ended up redoing all of the floors on the main level so when you walk into our house, you see the same flooring into the living room, dinging room, kitchen and bathroom. The flow is amazing and again it just made more sense to do it all. Thank you Brian! Here is what is more important for me to share about Elite Hardwood Flooring. Brian arrived the first day 10 minutes early with his team that was going to be working in our house. They were all there 10 minutes early. It was a Monday and I had to jet a few minutes after our agreed start time. So, it was awesome to see them all there early. He walked them through everything that was planned. The 3 guys on his team have been working with him for 7-15 years. The first day they had removed baseboards, which were all wrapped up and labeled by location. And they had leveled the whole main floor in prep for the new floors the next day. What was appreciated was they finished day 1 on the time they communicated, and their tools were organized in the house allowing us to enter. My kids even enjoyed seeing the construction site in our house which was organized, and our furniture was well taken care of. The second day again they arrived on time and jumped right in. I came back to the house when Brian thought they would be done and they were 15 minutes behind his original time. To be honest though, I expected 3-4 days based on what I’ve seen with other contractors at my work. Nope, they were cleaning things up and had everything back in order. Brian and his team completed the work in 2 days. I want to point out what impressed me about Brian and his team at Elite Hardwood Flooring. 1. It was made clear in the bid that they don’t hook water back up. This makes complete sense. However, I really appreciate that they reattached the toilet with a new wax gasket. I was expecting to do this myself and they had already done this. That was awesome to find out. 2. Having Brian there to walk his team through the plan we discussed. That goes so far. I’ve seen moments where you walk the owner/foreman through the project, then someone else arrives day of the project and they don’t even know the plan. Brian and his team are dialed. 3. His communication with us. He stayed on top of where things where at. We knew what was happening. 4. His team. The guys working with him care about their quality. Brian mentioned this often when they were working on our house. They give a crap about their craft. I appreciate this so very much. This is the second time we have used Elite Hardwood Flooring for a project. The first project they refinished the hardwood flooring of our entire main floor. This second time, they had to replace the flooring in our downstairs hallway due to water damage. They are very knowledgeable, quick to give an estimate and their work is beautiful.

It was such a pleasure working with Brian and his team. I called Brian when we bought our house from out of state and needed new flooring placed before we moved in. He was super easy to talk to, knowledgeable about the options, quick to get to the house for measurements and a bid, exceeded expections on the timeline for completion and kept me informed the ENTIRE time. I can be an over-thinker/over-communicator (maybe annoyingly so) and I didn't even have to ask about the process or where things were at because Brian was keeping me up to speed the entire time. He communicated with our painter to make sure everything was seemless. It was so refreshing to feel at ease over a major project. Communication is key! Brian and his crew did excellent, efficient work. They were careful and responded fully to any concerns I had. My wood floors are gorgeous! The transition to the tile bathrooms are seamless! I recommend Elite Hardwood for all your hardwood flooring needs!

Brian and his team just completed our flooring project FOUR days ahead of schedule! I found Elite Flooring to be accommodating and professional in every way. When our solid oak hardwood flooring was flood damaged, I was at wit’s end about what to do. Brian walked us through several options, patiently explaining the pros and cons of each option. When we finally decided to replace all of the flooring with prefinished solid oak, he provided us with price options from “big box” retailers to high-end, “boutique” flooring manufacturers, again offering the pros and cons of each retailer. The install was performed in a very workmanship-like manner. The team was diligent in keeping the house as clean and dust-free as possible. I found the install team to be personable (even my dog loved ‘em) and productive. I know I’m rambling on, but I just can’t overstate how pleased we are with the whole process! Elite Hardwood is the “real deal” in the Roaring Fork Valley where service AND reasonable pricing can be a challenge. Thank you, Brian and company.
