I like to leave positive reviews but can’t do that for Akel’s . My experience started off great. They have a wide selection of merchandise and the salespeople are very friendly. They also include removal of old carpet, moving furniture and a nice pad in the price per yard. All good things. Now for the not so good. The man who came to install the carpet was not friendly and he was not happy with moving a king size bed. Because we had been doing some remodeling this was the only piece of furniture in the room. He managed to scratch the mahogany bed frame and did not do a satisfactory job of laying the carpet . You can see where pieces were cut and joined together and there were several fuzzy places that I trimmed. I called and emailed Akel’s several times and they told me to vacuum it more often to help it settle down and that they would send someone to take a look. I never heard back. I think this was a Karastan carpet but it seems very poor quality . Everything shows on it and it stains very easily. I was so looking forward to new carpet but am very unhappy with my choice and installation.

I had a great buying experience with Akel’s! My salesperson Steve was great to work with and the installers did a great job as well. I got a great deal AND great service. Highly recommend!

We are super pleased and happy with our experience at Akels Carpet One!! They did exactly what they said in a timely,friendly, helpful manner! We needed flooring like yesterday with install,and they were spot on!!! We will use and recommend them to everyone! The best we have found!!!!

I did not enjoy working with Erica. She definitely took advantage of our construction build. I gave her my budget and she went over that by $6,000. She went as far as charging me higher tax because of the area I was building in. I didn’t think nothing of it until we had to pick up our own materials in Little Rock. Normally when a business charges you tax according to your zip code, it’s because they are delivering items to you. But that wasn’t the case. We also got a quote from her for installation and from 2 others. She went over that by $25,000. We ended up going with someone else. Our materials were at 3 different locations, Erica only disclosed 1 location. Our installers put the wrong tile in one of the bathrooms because they thought they had all the tile. I text Erica, because she told me all the tile was in, that’s when she told me about the other 2 locations. After install we had 30 boxes of tile left over. I texted Erica and asked why she ordered an excessive amount of tile? She said they always order 10 percent more on top of what is needed. I told her this is way more than 10 percent and I would need a refund. Ordering extra material on top of my budget should have been discussed from the start. If I needed more material after install I could have placed another order. I was not able to get the shower floors I originally wanted because she blew my budget on the 10 percent. We then took all 30 boxes back to the warehouse for a refund. Weeks later WE CONTACTED her asking about our refund she said they only refunded 11 boxes. We called the warehouse to pick up our materials and the guy told us Erica told him to toss it. What kind of business owner throw away customer’s materials without telling them? She didn’t ask us if we still want it, or to pick it up asap, she simply told the warehouse guy to throw it away. She told us she would refund what was thrown away. The price she gave us seemed low for 30 boxes of tile, she then said she only returned 9 more boxes. A good business owner would have done the right thing and refund us for all of what she threw away. Lastly, we needed 30 linear feet of carpet. I’m not sure if Erica didn’t cut enough carpet, or didn’t measure correctly but she told us it would be $1400. We told her we will get our carpet from somewhere else. We ended up getting 30 linear feet for $460 including Little Rock tax. She was charging us triple the price as if she didn’t take enough money from us already. I feel horrible that I spent thousands of dollars with her business, she sent us with the cheapest carpet padding ever, the guy at her other store was going to upgrade the padding since we were buying so much carpet. I should have gave him the sale. She ordered so much carpet for my master closet I was able to take the left over carpet and stack it on top of the installed carpet. What a waste, please don’t support this business.

Cole has been a Godsend! He helped my mom pick out flooring, came to her house (and even visited with her ❤️) Calculated all the various combinations of flooring she asked for, requested manufacturer discounts for her, and patiently waited for her to make up her mind. He also searched and found my flooring that we started installing years prior - and was able to handle the ordering and everything for me which saved me an immense amount of time. Akles has been a true pleasure to work with and I recommend them to everyone!

Karen and Stephen did amazing picking out the carpet for our bedroom and closets! The install went perfect and we even had rugs made out of our extra carpet too! Would recommend Akel’s Carpet One any day!

I’m so glad I chose Akel’s Carpet One for my tile and cabinet needs in my rental property kitchen and bath renovation. Walking through their beautiful showroom of tile with professional feedback on style and cost (thanks again, Erica!!!) eased any qualms on my purchases. All in all, the whole process was easy! They offered professionalism, delivered what they said they would, and had some of the best prices in the market. Can’t beat Akel’s Carpet One! Stephen was fantastic to deal with and was both prompt and professional! The crew that installed the flooring in our sunroom did a great job and they were quick yet thorough. We have decided to do another room in our home based on our initial experience with the Akel's team.
