Harbour Hardwood, Tile, and Remodel

We have had Harbour Hardwood install wood floors in two houses. One of my houses was featured in a 6 page article in Modern Luxury Magazine! My contractor insisted on using Harbor Hardwood because he said they are simply the best! Etienne is incredibly knowledgeable not only about the wood floor but also modern installation techniques. He is very responsive and returns all calls and texts within the day. Surprisingly, their pricing is very competitive as well, as I would have paid more just for the trust factor with Etienne. I could not recommend them more highly!

We are very happy with our experience with Harbour Wood Flooring. The whole team was helpful and responsive and they did beautiful work— installing new wood flooring in two rooms to match existing floors (which involved evening out the old subfloor) and then refinishing wood floors throughout house with a completely different finish. The results are beautiful. The project was finished on schedule and we couldn’t be happier with the results!

We had mahogany and cherry wood flooring that I wanted bleached for a more updated look. I knew if anyone would do a good job, it would be them. They KNOW hardwood flooring. We first used Etienne and his team when we bought a new house and wanted to update the hardwood to a more modern finish. Then we used them again when a water leak required 2/3 of the house to have the floors redone. Etienne and Mike worked with us on both occasions to make sure we got exactly what we needed and were also a huge help in working with our insurance provider throughout the process.

Five plus stars to Etienne and Mike. This project turned out beautifully and it would not have happened without them. We searched for two years to find a company with the skill, determination, and integrity to take on the remodel and refinish of over 2,000 square feet of 3/4 inch Brazilian cherry floors. The job included two floors and a set of stairs. The first floor is a Versailles pattern parquet with deep hand carved distressing. The flooring pattern had to be rebuilt around a new kitchen island and wall cabinetry. Etienne had the material made then installed to fill in the pattern. You cannot tell where this was done. The Versailles pattern and the distressing was a serious challenge to refinish. It took a great deal of time and patience and finally a lot of hand work to sand down the floors and remove the old finish. We wanted to neutralize the natural red tone of the floor with a new stain. Etienne and Mike took the time to mock up 9 different finish options for us so we could choose the right one. As if that wasn't enough, Etienne and Mike worked with our kitchen contractor and stair railing contractor to coordinate schedules. We can't say enough positives. This was a tough job, completed beautifully with a high level of communication and accommodation. Photos are just after completion.

Etienne and his team, including Mike, are great to work with. We renovated our home several years ago and they did a fantastic job assisting us with our vision and making sure the finished product exceeded our expectations. Mike is always ready to help with the odd touch up project as a result of having children and pets. We recently had the floors extensively cleaned by Harbour and after 6 years they look as good as they did when we first got them. I highly recommend Harbour Hardwood and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again on our next project!

Etienne, Mike and his crew were expedient, professional and followed all of my design requests. Their team went through demo quickly and worked well with other sub-contractors in the house.
