An HVAC technician reached out to me within the hour to get a better understanding of the issues I was facing and to schedule an on-site visit. Other HVAC services in my area simply took a message and never passed it on, or never showed. Joel of J.M. Curtis took the time to walk me through my heating system and explain what normal operation looked like as he pin-pointed the problem. Amazing company with amazing employees!!! I woke up to my furnace not working and my house very cold. I contacted several companies and they told me it would be 2-3 days until they could get a technician out to check the furnace, which wasn’t feasible. I contacted J.M. Curtis Energy Solutions and got through to Joel Curtis, and he told me that although he was also busy, he was willing to walk me through some troubleshooting to see if I could get it to work. After a few tries, we did a video chat and he walked me through what to check and narrow it down to the panel. After looking at it through the phone he knew exactly which make and model the furnace was and was able to lead me through the parts of the furnace. He didn’t use jargon or make me feel awkward for not knowing what things were. He was absolutely professional and courteous. He even searched Home Depot’s near me, found the part and sent me a link with the part needed, the aisle and shelf it was on. Afterwards, he was able to squeeze in a few minutes to swing by and check it over and used his multimeter to ensure everything was correct. I offered to pay him for the assistance and for stopping by to do the inspection, but he refused, and stated “it was you who did the work, I just walked you through it.” Joel brings an absolutely abundant amount of courtesy, professionalism and knowledge with him that not only makes you confident in his capabilities, but he also helps you understand why the issue occurred, and how to address or diagnose any issues that may occur in the future. I will not use any other HVAC company than J.M Curtis after this experience. Absolute 5 stars!!!

After waking up to a very cold house, and realizing that our furnace was not working properly, I made a number of calls to local companies. Joel responded promptly and prioritized my needs. He was at my house within an hour of my initial call. his knowledge and expertise, along with his professionalism and diligence, rectified the situation. What I was most impressed with was his ability to explain the issue, as well as what steps he took to remediate them, I’ve met very few contractors who have taken the time to thoroughly explain what they are doing and how it will fix the problem. Furthermore, Joel , did not leave until he triple checked all of his work, ensuring that everything was working properly. In addition, he was polite, respectful, and has a great personality! I would highly recommend him for any size job, as he was fair and reasonable in his cost, assessment, and timeline.

Joel was absolutely fantastic to work with and completely saved the day!! Our burner unfortunately stopped working on what has been the coldest night we’ve had this fall, while I was home alone with two kids and a new puppy. I contacted a couple of the big name companies for an emergency repair request, with one of them never returning my call, and the other telling me they couldn’t come out for two days. Joel responded to my call immediately and was able to come see me, same day. He was able to diagnose the problem right away, get the part he needed, and then fixed our burner, while explaining what the issue was. We’ve had problems with our unit in the past and no one else up until Joel has been able to solve what was wrong. His prices were also very reasonable and he went above and beyond with his service when he showed me genuine concern towards my family that we were without heat. He made it his personal mission to help us, and I am so very grateful to him for it! We will definitely reach out to Joel with any future HVAC needs we may have and I recommend you do the same!!!

Joel was great to work with from the start. He got our AC replaced within a day after deciding on which unit to go with and is much more reasonably priced than another big box company I had come out. Highly recommend this company and I would not hesitate to use them in the future. I’ve already told all my neighbors how great they are.
