Had a last minute heater issue before the first freeze. I was worried since I have two small kids. They came out way sooner than initially thought and everything was fixed perfectly.

Our furnace was blowing cold air. We called another company but they didn't service our model of furnace.🤦‍♀️. I called Plaines heating and AC. They sent a very nice man out who did a very thorough inspection. He found our furnace was no longer operational and was emitting carbon monoxide. He shut our furnace down. Thank heavens we had a wood burning stove. Within a couple of days they were out and installed a new furnace and AC unit. The installers were very professional. They were young and very polite. They finished in a few hours, cleaned up the work site. They explained in detail how to program and set the new thermostat. This company is fantastic. I would highly recommend them. Lisa

Wished I could leave a ZERO star!!!!!!! Plains Heating and Air Conditioning is not the company they use to be. We called as we thought our evaporator needed cleaned. We get a tech. He does not even look at the evaporator and says the condenser needed cleaned. He did clean it which okay yes it did need cleaned. He said he fixed a leak and added 2 lbs of Freon. He also says the duct work might need looked at. Less than a week the unit is still not running like it should. Called left a message. A tech arrives the next morning (Saturday). I was very impressed. Didn’t figure I would get a tech until Monday, however he had a service call in the area so he thought he would see what he could do. Very nice guy. He checked the condenser, evaporator and found the first guy put Freon in the unit when it did not need it. He sprayed some chemical on the evaporator to break down the build up. He sprayed the condenser with a chemical as well. He did not have a bottle to take the Freon out. He said what really needs to happen is the evaporator needs taken out. He said it would require to drain the entire system, remove the evaporator take it to the car wash, clean it and then put everything back in. He also stated while the evaporator is out we would be able to inspected it and might need to just install a new evaporator. He suggested to have that scheduled for another day as it would take about 3 to 4 hours. I spoke to the office on Monday and said I needed them here first thing in the morning on Wednesday as we were leaving that day at 2:00. At 11:00 the tech finally shows up that was here the first time. He once again does nothing to the evaporator and takes the Freon out that he put in. Plains then pulls the amount for the service call and Freon. Wait I did NOT need Freon. Yet I get charged for it. Now my system freezes up. Call Plains again and tell them not to send the original tech as he did nothing for the system. So they send a third tech. He sprays more chemical on the evaporator and says filters need changed. He goes and gets filters that do not catch anything because clearly he did not secure them so there is a 3 inch gap of nothing being filtered. He then leaves even though he was told that there is no air flow to some vents. He says someone probably needs to make sure the duct work is all together under the house and leaves. He was the second tech that has said that but no one is checking it. Mind you we have two window A/C units in two different rooms, have foam board (Insulation) in every window of our house. If you run the house unit and the window units it still 75 degrees in your house at 8:00pm. If you shut the house unit off and only have the window units. The place cools down. So what has Plains done???? Called again because they left a message regarding the last service call. Spoke to the lady which I tell her everything. She says she will have to talk to the guys and call me back. A few minutes later she did call to inform me if I really want them to pull the evaporator out and clean it, it will cost upward of $600.00 and has to be paid for up front. Says nothing about the duct work that two techs of hers has talked about. Really if I want them to pull the evaporator. Your own technician flat said a month ago that is what needed done but today I am finally given a price and told if I really want them too. I just want the thing to work. I do not recommended Plains Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone. I know of another person this company has been to 6 times this summer and they are still not fixed. Thankfully I have only been scammed out of $111.00 at this point. Who knows what everyone else is getting charged for their stuff to not work and have a tech there that many times. When you tell the lady that she acts like it is no skin off her back

Plains installed our AC unit last year and it has worked great! After one of the storms this summer our compressor started rattling and making a lot of noise. I called them and the company sent Michael out the same day. He identified the issue and had it fixed under warranty within a week. I definitely recommend Plains for any HVAC needs you might have.
