JG Lawn Care and Snow Removal

This company was a huge saving grace to me. They took my large overgrown yard and had it looking like a beautiful property in no time. And price was very reasonable for this monstrosity of a jungle. I am very pleased & will be using this company on a regular basis. The employees are very kind and polite as well.

I am rating this company 1 start due to multiple reasons. The abbreviated list: 1. We were quoted $400 for leaf relocation and then the price was increased to $600 halfway through the service. 2. The service was never finished. 3. Communication was almost non existent (I had to contact them). 4. They damaged our property in the process of the service. To expand upon this list, we were originally quoted $400 after Julian drove by the property to give an estimate for the service of gathering the leaves in our yard into a pile by our child's playset/swingset on December 6th 2022. He established the job was to be completed in-between current contracts, as time permitted and was available. The work was done steadily in the beginning. JG Lawn Care came out to our property 1-2 times a week. The only time they contacted us after starting the job was on December 22nd when they asked for an additional $200 dollars to complete the job, and I did not argue because they were doing good work. After we gave them the remaining money, $600 in total, they showed up one more time and then stopped coming for 3 weeks. I called them and asked what was going on. They said they would be back to finish the job and we discussed the leaf pile. They asked if they can make 2 piles, one in front and one behind the playset. I said, "Whatever was easiest for you.", trying to be accommodating. They came back once more at the beginning on February and ripped our gutter extension off the house, breaking it in the process. In addition, they drove through our yard, damaging the lawn that we were trying to save and left 9 huge piles of leaves scattered through the backyard and leaving one literally at my backdoor. I waited patiently for 3 more weeks to see if they would come back and they never showed up. At this point I had my fiancé email them on February 21st and told them not to come back and asked for a $200 refund, given the service was not completed in almost 3 months since hiring and my property was damaged. Their response was to call me and say the job was completed so they will not be returning any money and that when I said "Whatever was easiest for you", that meant they should leave giant leaf piles scattered throughout my backyard. Had they clarified they were going to do something like that, it would have been made clear it was unacceptable. They also never officially notified us that the job had been "completed" and only mentioned it was completed when we called to complain about the job not being finished. The lack of communication and poor quality of service is unbecoming of a local business. As a customer I would urge caution if inclined to hire this company.

Ashley in the office is very professional and friendly. Julius in the field is professional and really knows his stuff. I called every number I could find for snow removal and they were the only ones to return my call and actually show up. My family is so happy to have found them! We like them so much that, after the snow melts and Spring is here, we intend to hire them for lawn maintenance for the rest of the year. Great people, great service!
