I highly recommend Michael Backes Landscaping LLC. Michael quoted a job to demo a retaining wall which was deteriorating and replace with a stacked rock bed using existing materials. When the demo was finished, I learned there was not enough exiting material to complete the job. Michael made it very easy by providing some scrap material. I was appreciative that Michael had a way to complete the job on my budget and that he and his crew went to extra effort to complete the job to my satisfaction. We had a wonderful experience working with Backes Landscaping. Our project was a full landscaping effort: sod, trees, 20-30 plants, hardscaping (gravel, mulch, edging), fire pit and flagstone patio plus sprinkler and drip system installation. First, Michael is tremendous. He is organized, communicates clearly and timely and has a proven process from design to execution. His pricing is fair and his billing is accurate. And on top of that, he’s a really nice guy. When his crew shows up, they GET TO WORK. We were amazed at how much they accomplished each day on site. No need to worry about projects dragging along. Lastly, the quality of work is great - If anything gets missed, Michael makes sure it gets taken care of. We completed our project in the spring of 22. And thus far, the sod and plants/trees are all doing great and the watering system is working as designed. We highly recommend Backes Landscaping and will surely use them if we have needs in the future.

We had Backes Landscaping do work twice on our property. Both times we were happy customers! We needed work on our new house to make sure water flowed around the house properly. They installed a dry stream bed that looks great. The work also involved culverts and drainage tiles. They installed a natrual stone entry path that is beautiful. We have recommended Michael to other neighbors and wouldn't hesitate to call him for future work.
