Trimm Design Build

We recently contracted Trimm Design Build for extensive work in our backyard. The project involved preparing our forest-like backyard for grass, securing a large slope with riprap, adding irrigation and drainage pipes, installing about 30 stone stairs, creating a pea gravel area with a firepit, planting grass seed, repairing our front lawn with new sod, and relocating our hydrangeas, which had to be temporarily moved for machinery access. They also creatively repositioned wooden beams on the property to make a natural bridge, used some remaining rocks to frame our creek, and the list goes on. Project manager Friedrich was knowledgeable, organized, professional, and kept us updated at every turn. All costs were discussed upfront and the work timeline went as planned. The attention to detail and commitment to our satisfaction were above and beyond contractual obligation. Projects of this scale rarely go off without a hitch, but they addressed every hiccup promptly. Friedrich’s invaluable advice even helped us with an unrelated side project that was going wrong. We are so grateful! Special shoutout to Enil and the rest of the crew for their hard work and positive attitudes every day! Despite high temperatures throughout the summer, the team worked efficiently and adapted easily to changes. They even cleaned up the property after every day’s work. Friedrich and the crew were a joy to interact with daily and I couldn’t speak more highly of this whole team. We now happily get to enjoy the charm they’ve created. The stairs are well-leveled, the grass is flourishing, the rocks were all perfectly placed, and everything is working as expected. We are very happy with the results and appreciate the reliable service provided by Trimm Design Build. We highly recommend them! P.s. Plants not planted properly, dying plants. It looked really good when they first planted but when I called them back he said he would come back but didn’t. They took down our fence, and said they buried it under dirt and was waiting until they removed the dirt in order to be able to access our fence. It has been 6 months and he says they still haven’t moved the dirt to get to our fence. They put down sod but didn’t level the yard and add top soil like We had asked. The sod has sunken in places and the yard is uneven and looks bad. Can’t get him to come back.

I wouldn't go back. They put in a patio that turned out nice but a large percentage of the shrubs died. The owners son came out and said they hadn't been planted properly and replaced them. Then a large percentage of those died. They seemed disorganized. Several of the shrubs they installed weren't the right color and one employee told us they didn't have a system for tracking colors. Scheduling someone to look at my problems was difficult. In the end I was very disappointed but too tired of dealing with them to pursue it further.

We did 1 large and 2 small jobs with Trimmer and the design and work quality are very good. They fixed a drainage issue with a good design. Minor follow up issues on the design during the 3rd project.

I shied away from Trim Landscaping for a long time thinking they would be too exclusive for me. I've been retired for three years now so Kathy and I watch our money a little closer than before. I went in one day to get a quote on having a flower box built in my front yard. I was happy to find that the people on the inside were very knowledgeable and anxious to help. Tommy Trimm came to my residence himself to quote on my project. Tommy was also very knowledgeable and put me at ease with his excellent recommendations and suggestions on how to make this huge wooden box look good in my front yard! We agreed on a price and shook hands on that price. Tommy's men were stretched pretty thin at the time so it took several weeks to work me in. When his men showed up to start my project they knew exactly what to do. The two man crew flew into work and within a few hours had my project completed. Since to the completion of my project I've patronized Trimm Landscaping many time for topsoil for my new flower box and advice on which flowers to plant. Whether your a seasoned Gardner or a novice like myself Trimm Landscaping is a great place to purchase garden products.

We had Trimm come in this summer to fix an absolute nightmare that another contractor had left. They were a dream to work with, upfront about costs and committed to giving us a space that worked for our needs. We love our new deck and backyard, I wake up in the morning, watch our twins play on the lawn and it feels so peaceful. Trimm did that, they gave us a space that was more than we imagined. I highly recommend them for any landscape needs.

Perhaps you can relate....me and my wife had no idea what we wanted...we have no idea what looks good or what plants look good together. We asked several companies to come out and give us their thoughts....and everyone but Hamilton with Trimm said "what do you like"? If we knew we what we liked we would have bought it and planted it...Hamilton said I think this would look good and gave us a proffesional drawing and pictures of the plants he suggested.... everyone else gave us drawings that looked our 10 yr old son did it. We had already committed to another company when we got drawings from Trimm...when we saw the drawings we said "they nailed it"...that's what we want!!!! I am in the service industry and we were very impressed that every day....not at the end of the project...the crew cleaned up after themselves...every day we got to see that day's progress. I had three separate contractors say that they would be finished by Thanksgiving.... Trimm was the only one that did what they said they were going to do. We had our family over for Thanksgiving....30 plus people....and everyone loved the work they did for us! All we can say is ......Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Lonnie and Becky Miller

My neighbor and I decided to use Trimm last summer (2015) to landscape an area common to both our yards. Hamilton Trimm came and evaluated the area and what needed to be done. Trimm's team came and within two days had transformed this unsightly common area into something totally different with beautiful plants and landscaping of the area. Hamilton chose the different plants for both of our yards and did an outstanding job that made it less stressful for us in having to decide what to plant. With over 30 plants for each of our yards and with pine straw put down with new top soil Trimm's price was very reasonable. A visit to their facility in Trussville will be an experience in viewing hundreds of lovely plants. I would highly recommend Trimm Landscape if one is considering a home landscape change. As an added note over the winter my neighbor and I did not lose one plant to the cold which shows the care used by Trimm in preparing the ground for the plants.
