Weed Man Lawn Care

Paid for two years of “service” with WeedMan of Hartford. Here are my ✨dazzling✨ results. Had a fairly extensive grub problem that took them two years of visits to identify. Paid for aeration, reseeding, and multiple other add on services to try and salvage my lawn but here we are. Last visit the tech apologized for not inspecting my lawn for the entire spring/summer season and said he would be back in two weeks to reinspect after I paid for an additional grub treatment. I am the only one in my neighborhood who tries to have a nice lawn and I am left with THIS dumpster fire result. And worse yet, I PAID a good sum of money for these “results”. Fired these hacks and I hope this review saves you from considering them for your lawn!

Won't write much but I lost my yard to grubs one year. They replaced it but got worse the following year. Lost everything. Coukd have been anything but I decided to move on. I need a green yard and so far that has not happened. And all I've gotten was excuses. High prices too. For what I was spending I should have seen some green not brown grass. That is all I can say here. Choose responsibility. I did not see the value. Perhaps they are no better than chemlawn at a more expensive rate. This year we will try another business who is a lot less for the same yard. I want to see what they can do.

It's a long story so I'll post the bullet points: - Had extensive grub damage during pandemic year even though the grub control application was paid for and supposedly applied. - Was told that they would come fix it in early May. Didn't come till late May (which comes into play later). - When they finally come, the techs do an incredibly lack luster job. Missing whole sections and taking short cuts in others. When we called to let them know they had missed some spots were never called back. Upon the completion of the lawn repair the tech never came to speak to me to see if I had any questions... instead he left a note with incorrect instructions for me to follow. -When another tech came out to apply the next application he acknowledged the grass should be way further along than it is and that spots were completely missed, but because now we are into June its to late to seed. - The only only solution to this problem I was offered was to continue to pay them for their services!!!! Below are some pics of my lawn 19 days now since they came and "fixed it" with daily water!!! But those are the bullet points...

Jayden was great. We called about our aeration into are very hard ground due to the dry weather and heat this year. They did an initial aeration and then came back and did a deeper penetration and seeding. Very thorough, friendly, and on time. Greatly appreciated customer service. Thank you.

Weedman technicians and office staff are amazing! We have been customers for many years and always get compliments on our lawn. Fast, expert service!

They come, they put down stuff on the lawn as scheduled, if you have problems call them and they'll do as many service calls as you need to attend to problems. Yes, they're trying to upsell all the time, which I find annoying. I also find it annoying that some persistent issues are written up as "very difficult to control". I want more than that from "lawn care experts". Generally they do perform as contracted, as they should, we pay a lot for this service. Technicians come and go though, so a consistent eye on known problems is unlikely. Last year, our lawn utterly failed. I, myself, aerated the lawn, treated for grubs, dealt with moles and voles from the grub infestation, put down lime, and over seeded the lawn. Quite the exhausting Fall, for paying so much money. This year, an underground sprinkler system will hopefully help with the overall health of the lawn. I will not continue with them if this year isn't improved.

We have used Weed Man as our lawn care regimen for 2 years. In dry-ish soil with varying levels of sand they have provided us with a wonderful result.
