We have used Secor many times over the years. This job involved updating some exterior walls and trim, and new trim around a new garage door. As in the past this project was done very professionally with excellent attention to detail. Secor has pretty much painted all our interior and exterior needs over the years. If you want it done right, have Secor do it!
I was very happy with how our house came out and the attention to detail from Secor Painting. I'd highly recommend them. Tyler and Meric were very responsive and excellent communicators. 5 stars!

We had an office repainted. Secor was recommended by our property manager. They came on time, bid the job accurately, matched the old paint color perfectly, filled nail holes, completed the work when they said they would, and did a very professional job. Looks perfect.

PSA - Steer Clear! I used Secor painting in my contracting business for over 20 years and they were top shelf. Joe Secor retired and sold the company and I recently tried them out. It was the worst painting experience I've ever encountered. They subbed out the work to some other low cost company, overcharged for things they didn't do, sent inexperienced and unsupervised labor. They do not belong in a custom home. They might be OK for apartment turnovers or something very basic but that's about it if you don't do anything T&M or custom..

We would like to respond to Mr. Scott's negative review. First, the reason we used a subcontractor on this project was due to Mr. Scott's repeated delays in scheduling (almost 2 months)! We gave him the option of scheduling the project when our crews were available, but he insisted on starting the project on his timeframe. So, we accommodated his request, with him knowing our internal crews were on scheduled projects. Throughout the project, Mr. Scott repeatedly made changes to the scope of work that resulted in 19 separate change orders. A normal job of this size might have 2 - 3 change orders. It was exceptionally difficult to complete daily and weekly tasks, due to Mr. Scott's inability to make decisions and allow Secor Painting to perform the work in an orderly manner. Most painting contractors would have walked off the job because of Mr. Scott's behavior and disorganization. However, we pride ourselves as professionals and continued to proceed ahead with the work. Due to all the change orders, there was a larger than usual punch-list, which we completed. This list included items such as Mr. Scott and/or his other trade crews stripping out most of door frame hinge screw holes of the doors we painted. Although we didn't create this mess, we re-plugged all the stripped-out screw holes and redrilled and rehung each of the doors. On the last day of field work, Mr. Scott finally admitted we were not the cause of this issue and said he was pleased with the work Secor Painting performed. Of course, several days later, Mr. Scott publishes this defamatory review in an obvious attempt to hurt Secor Painting's reputation by providing a false, one-sided review that doesn't reflect all the additional work done on his interior, which he benefited but wasn't charged. This review, in our opinion, isn't a fair reflection of the quality and dedication to service that Secor Painting has long maintained in its service to the Boulder and surrounding communities.
I am extremely happy with the work done by Secor Painting. They were professional, respectful, courteous, hard working, precise, and accommodating. They painted the walls, ceilings, baseboards, wood trim, doors upstairs, and a new front door! They tried hard to make sure everything was done to my liking. A big shout out to the team that worked on my house that included Meric, Tyler, Wesley, Chris, Jay, and Hector. My house looks awesome!!!

Secor Painting transformed our house exterior, painting the new Hardy Board siding and trim with special attention to the many details. The team we worked with were clean, careful and respectful, even befriending our little blind dog! We’re happy to say that we are looking forward to Secor Painting starting interior painting on our house soon. Secor Painting did an exceptional job with painting our home’s exterior. The job was very high quality with excellent products. Additionally, their pricing was very reasonable; and as I added some additional scope, they were responsive and accurate with Change Orders (which were a positive note). Max's team did an excellent job of prepping, painting, and cleaning up afterwards. They were courteous, friendly, punctual, and very hard workers. I have used Secor Painting for years and have always been satisfied.
