Chris B., the technician that came out was very cordial and professional. I don’t believe what I was charged for was fair. He did spend time on hold waiting to talk to the hot water heater manufacturer, so from a time perspective I understand perhaps the cost. I question whether a seasoned person would have needed to call the manufacturer in the first place to complete checks. I did not move forward with their recommendation to install additional equipment as I wasn’t confident that would solve the issue and did not want to sink further money indefinitely. I am seeking a second opinion. As of now I unfortunately would not recommend Oro. Update to post - I did get another opinion and the issue was with the hot water heater itself. If we went with the recommendation from Oro, then we would have incurred unnecessary cost and not fixed the issue.

We are sorry you did not have confidence in our recommendations. Chris inform you that a d isolation valve and check valve of return line was required. We have installed several tankless water heaters and per code these specific items are required to avoid cross over. Our tech also showed you multiple job that we have completed before to ensure you this is what was needed. Once you seek a second opinion, you will find that our observation was correct.
