My initial search for solar for our house started through the Energy Trust of Oregon website. They put me in touch with 3 local companies which all came out and gave a bid. Sunlight Solar was hands down the most thorough of the 3 when providing the bid. Their design and sales guy Sean was the only person that hopped up on my tall roof to take proper measurements. In doing this he came up with a much better design that allowed more panels on my south facing roof vs the east facing roof than the other 2 companies did. Sean quoted a fair price and his communication was excellent through the entire bidding process. With that I chose to give them my business. From that point on they were nothing but professional from everyone I worked with in the office and the installers. My solar was up and running sooner than I thought and now has been on my house for about 10 months. My system is producing about 20% more than his estimate and I haven't had a single issue with it. I actually forget I even have it on the roof until I get my $10 electric bill for being hooked up to the grid each month. As far as I am concerned they are the only player to consider if looking for solar in Central Oregon.

Marlis (Beier) and I found working with Sunlight Solar a joy. They were on time (and even early) with the construction schedule and the technicians were happy to explain what they were doing and how it was going. They were patient and came back many times to finalize a ground mount location which optimized sunlight and expense. There were no surprises trenching in Central Oregon!! Everything was within budget. And we are enjoying even better than predicted energy production. We had huge electric bills, which are now nothing except the fees! (so far this summer). Everyone working on our account was knowledgeable, informative, expert, friendly, respectful, deeply integrious and even a bit fun. I liked that they kept a clean worksite and picked up after themselves and even fixed a small ding that I hadn't even noticed. I particularly appreciated how informed we were kept throughout the process and when I had questions, calls were promptly returned if I didn't get an answer right away. I would recommend this organization without reservation to anyone wishing to install solar power.
