SCSP Solar

We had been wanting to install solar panels for two years and waited until we had found a company we wanted to work with. SCSP is run by people who have solar panels themselves and have high standards for making their design match customer electricity consumption. We have some shade on our panels, and they accounted for that in their design. We are making the electricity we expected to make. Our questions were answered with a lot of expertise, and they helped us understand our electricity bill which is a little confusing at first. SCSP is well-regarded by roofing companies and has longevity in the business, both of which are important to us. We recommend SCSP highly.

SCSP was recommended from a friend of mine. Their sales associate Paul Spence was very knowledgeable and brief. He answered all my questions and gave me a reasonable price. A one that I could recover for 6.5 years based on the similar consumption. Their installation crew completed the installation for one day. The only little thing is that they put the edge of their leather on the facia and did a little damage. The communication with the office was great. Tayler Mulcahy was very friendly and she was keeping me updated throughout the different stages of permitting. It took about 2 months all together and now I can enjoy the fact that I’m 0% dependable on the grid while saving few trees. I love the fact that SCSP is a local Company and would highly recommend it.

We have always wanted to do our part in helping reduce our carbon footprint while saving some money doing so. I've even turned in my car for an EV and now we wanted to add solar energy to our home. We've done the research and am very pleased that we chose SCSP Solar to help us with this transition. First, the solar rep Paul Spence was very knowledgeable and honest with his presentation and Tayler, the Customer Service Expert was there for us all the way as our system got up and running. The administration setup was the longest wait, but necessary in order to get our county and electric company notified. After that, it was smooth sailing. Jon Mason was very easy to work with. He responded to our questions timely and with patience. We were impressed with the materials they proposed to use. The process of getting approval from the county was not quick. The whole process took about 3 months. Overall we are very pleased with our decision to proceed with the installation.

My wife and I recently moved to our "forever home" on Isle of Palms. In the case of SCSP, they actually beat their originally estimated schedule by many weeks. Their app made it very clear what stage our project was at, and they handled all approvals by HOAs and the power company. When it came time for the installation, their crew showed up right on schedule and completed all work in three days, just as they estimated. The team was courteous and collaborative in working with us to locate batteries and other equipment. In the end is was a fantastic experience, and we love seeing how much solar power we're selling back to Dominion. We highly recommend SCSP to anyone looking to lower their carbon footprint AND their energy bills.

9-11-23. We have been customers of SCSP Solar for only a month or so. We engaged the company to test out all our solar system connections install a new "inverter." We turned to SCSP at the end of a long summer string of exasperating setbacks and frustrations trying to hold another company to accountability. Throwing up our hands, we then called SCSP based mainly on the recommendation of a Columbia, SC solar equipment distributor. He told us that SCSP founder and owner John Mason knows the ins and outs of solar well, and "looks as though he's trying to do it the right way." SCSP has been a welcome breath of fresh air. Over the brief time they've been working with us, SCSP service and assistance have been as close to perfect as we could wish. First, they are not dismissive of customers - they have been responsive and patient, and have communicated promptly and clearly. The company, often in the person of Tayler their Operations Manager, goes the extra mile when required to assure clear communication. Also - importantly given our experience with other solar firms - SCSP has followed through thoroughly on 2 big counts: they care about and honor the commitments they make; and they see their work through diligently, leaving customers "hanging" as little as possible. This standard of skills and service cannot be offered free of cost - no matter what any solar company may tell you. In solar as in most things, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably isn't." So SCSP comes at a bit of a premium. But the solid service, skills and reliability they offer, in my opinion, fully justify that expense.

SCSP did an excellent job with our solar installation. Jon Mason was efficient and professional, and was able to size the system, build a rendering, and explain the entire process during our first consultation. The installation took about half a day, startup went smoothly, and every phase of the process was painless.

I met with a couple of the larger corporate solar companies and got the used car salesman feeling after hearing their sales pitch. Jon was knowledgeable, patient, and down to earth. He took the time to design a system that fit my needs perfectly and has performed as advertised. The install was done in a day and the workmanship was flawless. Jon even lined up a crew to trim and remove any trees that blocked the panels. I have recommended this company to friends and family and will continue to do so.
