Ecohouse Solar installed our 8.4 kW system in July of 2022 which included a new electrical service panel. Mike Hopper was excellent to work with and answered all of our (many) questions. He helped us design the best system with the right panels for us, at a great price. After signing the contract, Mike continued to keep us informed of all activities. Both the local and utility permitting/inspections were handled with little to no effort from us. All the installers and electricians were courteous and professional. They worked quickly without disrupting the yard or interior of the house. I would gladly recommend Ecohouse for anyone considering solar.

We are customers of a defunct solar company and were having issues with our inverter. EcoHouse was great and immediately took action to call the company and get it fixed. Jeffrey was a great representative of the company and did great work to get us back up and running. I highly recommend using them and will call in the future if we find ourselves in need again.

Installed October 2023 My installation a AC CEC 14.610 KW consisted of 40 – 400 watt solar panel, 40 IQ8M Enphase micro inverters and 4 – Enphase Encharge 10T 10.5 kWh batteries along with Enphase IQ System controller 2 and 2 -Enphase IQ Combiners. Ecohouse Solar and their entire engineering design, installation and follow up team are first rate. Let me just take a moment to explain how and why I give Ecohouse a 5 star rating. I am a retired facilities engineer and I worked for Cooper Energy Services for 32 years. That’s sets the stage for why I am so pleased with Ecohouse. I thought about installing a solar set up for the past few years and when I decided to move forward I contacted several other installers and considering my engineering background I wanted to know both the engineering details of the product and equally I felt it extremely important that I could pick a firm with a good track record. In my research I found Ecohouse stood out as the best company I could pick and I believed would be the most reliable in the long run too. Let me introduce you to Mike Hooper the project manager, Mike was exceptional in every way to work with. Anytime I needed something I got answers quickly and in the detail I wanted. I also want to introduce you to Sean McGeehan construction manager. Both Mike and Sean were always ready to accept my call and get answers to my questions ASAP and as a retired facility engineer my work experience carried forward to be a demanding task master. I can’t think of any way to tell you how pleased I am with my interface with both Mike and Sean other than it was just AWESOME. Additionally I want to tell you about the team who installed the panels, the control system, the batteries and commissioning the system. The installation took several weeks so I got to know the team members really well and they all were a great bunch of guys. They all were friendly, easy to communicate with and ready to stop as address any issues that I wanted to better understand, question or possibly change.

Ecohouse recently completed the installation of a 8.4 kw/h system on our roof. I have never given a contractor a 5 star review but in this case I am happy to do so for the first time. From beginning to end this process was fantastic. Mike Hopper was completely honest and transparent from the first moment and communicated with us every step of the way. Everything happened exactly when we were told they would happen (which I consider a miracle) and the team doing the installation was awesome. If I ever expand my system Eco House will be my only call.

We had Ecohouse Solar install a 14kw system a few months ago. They were very knowledgeable through every step of the process, and answered all of my questions in detail. I wanted a clean look to the system, and their install team made every effort to make the final appearance of the system as discreet as possible with no external conduit visible. I would definitely recommend this team to anyone considering solar for their home.

I agree with the other reviewers that Ecohouse Solar is outstanding! Goal: Produce enough energy to offset the full electrical consumption of our home and electric vehicle throughout the year while simultaneously providing us with daytime backup in the event of a grid failure. We purchased: 16.2KW system consisting of: Panels: 45 x Q.PEAK DUO BLK-G10+ 360 Microinverters: 45 x IQ8PLUS-72-2-US Enphase Sunlight Backup: 8 x Circuits The sales process with Ecohouse was smooth sailing. Mike Hopper was our Project Manager. I cannot say enough great things about him personally and the entire Ecohouse Solar team. They took care of all the permits and did a great job with the installation. The result: Our solar system worked perfectly from the day it was installed and the installation quality was top notch. We did experience one issue with the sunlight backup that was ultimately traced back to a defective board in the system controller which resulted in intermittent failure to control loads. Enphase sent out a field technician to troubleshoot the problem and replace the board under warranty. Problem solved. We live in Ohio and our solar system was activated in late October 2022 so our first full bill with net metering didn’t come out until late December. That’s definitely not the best time of year for solar production. Our electricity bill fell to 1/4 of its normal amount by our February billing cycle and we had a small surplus by our March billing cycle. I just read that our utility company AEP Ohio will be increasing rates by 30% this summer. I just smiled knowing that I made the right choice both to go Solar and in my choice of Ecohouse Solar. You should strongly consider them too!

Ecohouse made it easy to get exactly what I wanted and took the time to explain the entire process from the initial phone call to the final sign off from the power company. The install team was awesome and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out, both aesthetically and performance-wise. There was a slight issue with the combiner box after installation but the Ecohouse team went above and beyond to ensure the system was operating as designed. I encourage anyone who is on the fence with going solar to call this company.

When considering going solar, I had friends recommend a few companies they had gone with/researched and Ecohouse popped up more than once. We received quotes from two different companies and are very happy with our decision to go with Ecohouse Solar. They were very honest and upfront about all costs and installation procedures. They also took responsibility to ensure that it would be safe to do a roof layover instead of replacing our current roof (simply due to age) which saved us a ton of expense. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing. Fortunately for us, we believe we are in our forever home so we look forward to enjoying our 20 kW system for years to come.
