Thanks to the Biden Administration's Inflation Reduction Act and homeowner tax credits for solar energy, we decided to take the leap in 2023 and install solar panels on our home. After researching several companies, we decided to work with Bright Eye Solar. The first person we met via video call was Michael Charles, and he was extremely informative, friendly, and professional. We had a terrific conversation with all our questions answered, and learned a lot more about the process and materials available today. He made us feel very confident about our decision, and has been an excellent resource as additional questions came up, as has our project manager, Russell Manley. When the whole crew came to do the installation, we were impressed with how efficiently they worked and how low-impact a big job like this could be for our family. For example, we have two dogs and they hardly noticed all that was going on out there, and were still able to go out in the back yard as often as needed because the crew kept their ladders in the front and side yards at my request. Of course nearly all of the work was done outside with just one brief visit to our electrical panel in the basement, and even that was arranged so it would be convenient for us. The new panels look beautiful on our home and we can see our daily solar production online, which is very exciting! You can still take advantage of the AMAZING tax credit in 2024, so if you are on the fence like we were, this definitely makes it a more affordable venture and Bright Eye Solar will make it a positive experience. Every member of the Bright Eye team has been a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend them when you are ready to make your own energy!

Oh man, where do I start? Bright Eye Solar is seriously incredible! They hooked me up with a solar system this December, and it was hands down the best decision ever. First off, these guys are just awesome. Super friendly, and they didn't make me feel like a dummy even though I had no clue about solar stuff. They took the time to explain everything without using crazy technical jargon, and I really appreciated that. The installation itself was a breeze. They were on top of things, and you could tell they knew their stuff. Plus, they were so thorough—checking twice to make sure everything was perfect. What I loved the most was that they made going solar exciting. I mean, who gets pumped about solar panels, right? But these guys managed to do it! They talked about all the cool benefits and even showed me how I'd be saving money in the long run. It got me genuinely stoked about making a positive impact on the environment. I'm not one to write reviews, but Bright Eye Solar earned every bit of this five-star rating. If you're thinking about going solar, these are the folks to call. Josh earned my business despite having a higher price than a national because his proposal was different, he was trustworthy, easy to talk to, and understood what I'm sure is an abnormal perspective enough to explain what I was missing. We worked to a solution that JUST squeezes into building code and results in a great looking and highly productive outcome. Bobby, the installation need we got, is a gem of a human and was great to talk to and he and his team did good work and were quick about it. 5 stars. But. Minor issue with inspection, that honestly is probably a bit overzealous on an inspector, led to a nearly 45-day delay in commissioning my system- that included all of July and half of August and ended up costing me somewhere near $400 in lost production while the panels sat in my roof. Now. Normally this would stop a 5-star review, BUT Bright Eye (Yvette) reached out and offered to meet me in the middle on these losses. This business practice is ever fleeting and absolutely makes a huge difference. Your customer was hurt- and even if it wasn’t necessarily your fault, you work with them to resolve the issue. I recommend them and I really do think they inspection should have passed. In fact, working through my issue really highlights the strength of working with someone local and dedicated to customer service. When you look at someone like Tesla’s reviews, you’ll find that any time something goes wrong, you cannot reach anyone. You’re installing a 25-year product on your house with continuous output and it isn’t just the sunshine (get it?!) that’s relevant- it’s also the clouds. While you might save some money in the short-run with a national provider, your ability to get help when something goes wrong is what really determines your value in the long run. Bright Eye appears well-postured to provide this support.

The wife and I are sooo happy we chose Bright Eye as the company to work with. We checked out a few different companies and Bright Eye was the best combination of responsiveness, knowledge, care, and professionalism. In the solar world, you experience a lot of sketchy companies, and Bright Eye isn't that. They are professionals who want to do good work, who provide clear and honest pricing plans, and who seem to genuinely enjoy the world of solar. From the consultations and phone calls with Josh, to the incredibly clean, fast, and beautiful work done by the installers (love those guys!), to the communication throughout the process and final steps of connecting us to our SREC buyer with Yvette. The entire process flowed smoothly and rather quickly and we couldn’t be happier with our solar setup. Seriously if you have any doubts, squash them because you won’t be disappointed if you choose Bright Eye :). For reference, we got a 18kw system with enphase microinverters and solaria solar panels.

Had multiple estimates. Honest pricing from day one. No pressure sale. Great communication. The biggest delay was with permitting/energy company approval which you'll experience with any solar project. The system was installed within 2 weeks of the parts being ordered. Team finished the installation on my 7.02kW system in two days. Excellent workmanship. Respectful of my property. Bright Eye Solar was an excellent choice for my residential project. I've never had Solar installed and I wasn’t sure how the process would go, but I can't imagine having a better experience than I did with Bright Eye Solar out of Lancaster, Pa.
