We operate a horse farm in North Alabama and i can tell you that I'm not much on providing reviews of products that I have purchased.  When I do it's only after I am really sold on that product.  ReNew installed an array of 76 panels, two stacks of 8 batteries ans two SolArc Inverters for me last August.  I have now experienced the system performance in the extremes of both summer and winter.  I can report that system is incredible.  We have a 3800 sq ft home that is pretty power hungry and we seldom have to go to the grid for power.  It was darned expensive and at current power rates will take 10+ years to pay for itself but I am 100% convinced that everyone is going to experience significant cost increases for power in the not so distant future. As for working with ReNew, they have been great.  They designed the system, gave installation dates and did exactly what they promised.  I'm used to having to deal with the "aftermath" of jobs like this on our farm and the ReNew guys astounded me with the care they took of my place both during and after the installation, and they have been really good with supporting me as I got used to using the system. I am very satisfied with ReNew.  I've seen a number of installations that looked like DIY jobs and their work is far superior to anything I've seen outside of a couple of really large industrial installations.  I'd say that if you can afford it, solar is an excellent hedge against high cost or even extended loss of service and ReNew are definitely the folks I'd recommend to do the work for you. I was put in contact with ReNew by QMerit the company hired by Cadillac to run its rebate EV charger installation program. On the first call I was asked if a third party would be paying part of the cost. I refused to answer that question but did reply that shouldn’t make any difference. Cadillac was paying the first $1,500. Then I was asked questions about the install and to send pictures of the proposed location of the EV charger. Then without coming out to my house to see what would actually be involved I was supplied a quote, not unexpectedly more than the Cadillac allowance of $1,500. I reluctantly agreed to the quote. Then for several days I heard nothing. I contacted the QMerit person handling the transaction about the lack of follow up. He prodded ReNew to call me. The gentleman called and said he would follow up in a few days with an appointment to come to my house. He didn’t. I contacted QMerit again. That was about a month since I had accepted the quote. Then I received an email that an appointment had been scheduled for a date about six weeks after the initial contract. By this time I had sought a second estimate for the work. That estimate was over $1,000 less than ReNew’s quote. I was able to cancel the QMerit deal and Cadillac gave me the alternative of receiving free charging for two years. So even though I will pay more initially out of pocket for the installation I will receive enough to more than offset that cost. From comments on several GM and Cadillac sites, my experience has not been unusual with the QMerit approved installers appearing to overcharge. If QMerit continues to use ReNew in the Nashville area and your work is forwarded to them maybe you will have a better experience. I would definitely recommend getting two estimates.

Renew Solar Solutions was incredible. They were our White Knight in Shining Armor. We recently finished a huge remodeling job off West End in Nashville, TN. The job had a major SOLAR component to it … the whole 9 yards including a back up generator for the home should they ever lose power. Renew Solar Solutions stepped in with their expertise when we lost our earlier solar subcontractor. We panicked a bit, but never missed a beat with Renew’s responsiveness and superior knowledge. In the construction industry, it’s always about networking and finding the right subcontractor for the job. This lead proved to be excellent. Ryan was very prompt with our service repair. He and his co-worker were both professional and knowledgeable and took time to explain things to us. They were friendly and we highly recommended them. We’ve had such terrible service from other solar companies so we were very pleased with their performance and most importantly the prompt service.

My aim behind getting a solar installation on the roof of our house was less about saving money on our power bill, and more about doing my part to reduce my reliance on fossil fuels and other energy sources. To that end, I have loved all the interactions I've had with ReNew Solar Solutions. Before installation began, I worked with a couple people who designed a system to fit my roof, and meet my specific needs. They presented their project in clear terms, and after some back and forth on purchasing options, we figured out how to make it all agreeable. The installers showed up with enthusiasm, and they were fun to talk to. They answered my questions along the way, and they were obviously very experienced. Their conduit and other work was gorgeous (one guy was out there with a bubble-level making sure everything would look perfect!) and the finished product is fantastic! In spite of some snow-cover for a week or so, our system is working terrifically, meeting the needs we had hoped for, and I'm excited for what will surely be a summer of me enjoying my air conditioner with less cares about the cost of running it all! The battery backup has saved us a few times, so I could work from home seamlessly even when, in the past, i would have lost my internet connection. Terrific craftsmanship, excellent product, outstanding communication, and all around a wonderful job by everyone involved! Highly recommended!

I’ve had a fairly interesting situation with renew. First off they installed just the solar panels (so a partial install of the total job) and wanted to be paid 85% of the total bill. Communication has been very challenging and sometimes goes days or weeks without being able to get a hold of someone. Even as I type the solar still isn’t on but was asked for full payment 2 months prior even though the work failed inspection. That being said, I personally like the people and Ryan and Colby have been very good to work with once on site and on the phone.

Working with Renew Solar Solutions was an absolutely positive experience all around. From Colby taking his time working with us and answering questions, his crew being very professional when they came out here to work, John getting right back to us with information, to Krista checking in on us, making sure we were good - we were extraordinarily pleased with the products and service from this company.

I cannot say enough positive things about my entire experience with John, ReNew Solar Solutions and their entire team, who installed a system of Solar Panels and batteries on our home that I have completely renovated. From first contact, which occurred over a year before installation and was very helpful in planning where the panels would go (and where I should place my skylights), to discussing plans, learning about solar panels, through the installation and now with any communication years later - everyone that I have had contact with via ReNew has been a complete professional with knowledge and respect, who respond in a timely manner and always show up when they say they will. John quoted fair prices and the best up to date equipment available. The guys who did the installation were a delight to have working in and around our home, respectful and knowledgable and thorough. They provide accountants to do everything you need to receive the tax incentives that accompany your system. On top of feeling that I have done all that I can for the environment and the sustainability of our home, the peace of mind I now have when power outages occur yet my family has the ability to run our HVAC system regardless, in extreme weather conditions, is priceless. Also my electric bill is on average $60/month so that also is life changing. I send everyone who is curious about solar panels to John at Renew, and can say with confidence that out of my whole house remodel - these guys were the best subcontractors I've worked with. I look forward to adding to our system and being able to charge an electric car at home, from the sun, in the near future.
