Meraki Solar

My experience with this company: I'm glad I went solar but I wish I would have did further research on companies and I knew others who had a decent experience. Installation /customer service very poor . Paid for certain amount of panels( contract and permit stated numbers I did not recieve) ended up with 2-3 less, was told I didn't need that amount now b/c upgraded to produce same energy w/ less panels? Project failed inspections(codes)and still passed after only some issues addressed. No instruction on panels or maintenance given ( verbal or manels).told me to use water only ,no manels on care avaiable, and no follow up. Companies doesn't seem to care after contract signed/ money paid. It's disappointing.

The inverter for my solar panels stopped working April 20th, I initiated a service request and a field tech arrived April 30th but had to reschedule due to rain. But I then received a text notification that same day advising a new inverter is needed and replacement is scheduled for May 13th. I will have gone almost a month with no solar regeneration. What I have built so far this year in reserve will likely be depleted. I’m disappointed I had to wait 10 days for the initial appt and then have to wait till May 13th. And what happens if it rains on that day, rescheduled for another 2-3 weeks? I’ve only had the panels for almost 3 years and the inverter goes out.

Martin Garland showed us which tax forms to use so that this year we will receive a 30% tax credit. He is a memorable representative of Meraki Solar company for his thorough knowledge and representation of this company. If he stops by your house, it would be worth your time to talk to him about solar.

Meraki uses extremely descriptive sales practices. They will push you to sign a contract without all of the information. I will end up paying #166,000 for my solar panel system. The lie they told me is they don't have that information available at the time of signing. This is a lie. How could they have interest rates, a monthly payment and payment plan but not disclose the total cost of the system. On top of that I'm being charged way too much for my system and when asked for an itemized cost breakdown to justify the cost I get told that's not available. The Florida average is $3.31 a watt, that means my 12kwh system should have cost $39,720 yet I was charged $46,000. I was told the government rebate bring the cost down to the average. This is completely wrong!! I was taken advantage of. From mixed match answers to over pricing to lack of communication I would highly recommend staying far away from Meraki.

I purchased solar panels through Meraki and ended up having to file a complaint with the BBB. I wish I had chosen a different company to handle the installation. I have several neighbors who had a similar experience. Once you sign the contract they start treating you with less importance. Once your panels are installed they treat you like a stranger. Apparently they have a problem keeping employees as my salesperson and his supervisor no longer worked there after my job was completed. I give zero stars.

From the moment they came to my door, everyone one I’ve met has been friendly and knowledgeable. Steve and Josh sat down and thoroughly explained the process and what to expect to my family and we felt extremely comfortable in proceeding with installation. We feel like they offered great prices and a quality product.

Mike Dunn and Nancy Hudson were very helpful in telling me know about the Meraki system and how it works they answered any questions that I had. G. Gonzalez Pensacola Florida they sent 3 men to install my system they worked very hard and got it done in one day. They were very nice and answered all of my questions they all was very knowledgeable in how the system works.
