Chris' Tree Service

Zero stars. Get everything in writing. I wanted 3 trees cut and stumps ground. He gave me a price and later told me he was going to lose money on the job and wanted another $500 to grind the stumps. Obviously his mode of operation since he quoted a job for my neighbor for 850 then when he showed up with his crew told him he needed 1200. Wish I had known that before I hired him. Now I have to find someone to grind the stumps and fix my lawn that he destroyed with a skid steer. He also has zero self control and threw a temper tantrum, cursing me and when my wife attempted to moderate he turned aggressive with her, spit flying and foaming at the mouth (which I have on video). UPDATE: Since he replied to this review, it should be obvious to any literate person that the text he posted clearly says stump ( not plural stumps) and therefore obvious that I requested the other stumps be grinded when he quoted the job. He must have done a poor job quoting the work and was terribly rude. Get it in writing if you ever let him quote a job. BTW, not the only poor review. Hey Chris, send me the video you claim to have of me saying not to grind the stumps and I will change the review. Also, btw, you did threaten me that you would take it to court; and also threatened to return the debris that was hauled off and dump it all in my driveway and that I better move my cars--- all this I have on video as well and you know it.

Used them before to grind stumps, did a very good job. Called to get a quote three days ago and scheduled from him to come out and quote. Sent a text messages to follow up. No show! Didn’t receive a call to cancel either

I was having trouble finding someone who had time or was interested in doing a small job. Most of the people were too busy, weren't interested or didn't return calls so I was very thankful to find Chris' Tree Service. I called to get a quote and he came out the very same day. His rates are reasonable and he was able to start removing my boxwood hedges two days later. He also made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving. Real nice guy who I will be calling again to remove our last boxwood hedge once I'm ready for it to go.

Chris showed up on time even though he had a flat tire on his truck. Very friendly, professional and neat. We are very pleased with the service provided. Good price and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks for a great job!

Chris's Tree Service did a great job at a reasonable price. I called them and they were at my house in a few minutes. It took just under two hours to remove the tree. It was not an easy tree for me to cut. They had the right equipment and took care of the tree quickly. Thanks Chris, Mark and James!

I called Chris' Tree Service because Chris took down a tree at my residence about 10 years ago and did a great job. Yesterday, Chris took down one large Bradford Pear tree and heavily trimmed one large Hackleberry tree for me. He was able to come out the day after I spoke with him. Chris's "Climber", Mark, worked quickly and safely at very high heights. I watched the entire operation on both trees and Mark's skill level become apparent very quickly as being professional & skilled. He exhibited acute knowledge as to the cut sequence, the manner of cuts to be made, and the procedure to lower very heavy limbs to avoid a fence that actually adjoined one of the trees. Joshua provided the ground operation and worked in conjunction with Mark to ensure limbs were dropped in a safe area. As an old guy who previously worked in Project Management, I tend to grade companies on Cost, Schedule, and Performance. Chris' Tree Service performed very well (and as we agreed on), was on time and extremely prompt, and at a reasonable cost. After 2 jobs with Chris, I won't be asking anyone for referrals in the future, I'll simply call Chris.
