Should have put this up 2 1/2 years ago, but having just moved and getting unpacked and settled took precedence. Al completely remodeled a Vera Cruz kitchen for us. We took out the very large section that stuck out in the room. He resurfaced some cabinets and put on new doors that had to be custom made out of Alder since during COVID there were supply chain issues. He went out of his way to help us during very difficult times. We ended up having him do our 2 bathroom cabinet’s with the same granite and cabinets. They are gorgeous and we bought fixtures and farm sink and bath sinks that we liked. He was extremely flexible and reliable being sensitive to our move and living in renovation site. Have visited his site and met his detail oriented staff. We wanted to pick our own granite and after visiting several large granite dealers couldn’t find the quality we were looking for so we asked Al for his guy and found what we wanted within 10 minutes of arriving there. He did an amazing job for us, and We want to do an open house for him in the future.

I recommend Al’s Custom Woodworking wholeheartedly. Our new vanity and laundry closet are spectacular. (Al was recommended to us by the owner of a wonderful tile store. Now he is our favorite cabinetmaker too!) Al is not only the nicest person ever, but he is also a master of his trade. Since we were working without a contractor or designer, we appreciated his beautiful, practical, and smart designs, his high-quality standards, his excellent installer, and his tons patience when listening to his customers. The project was not easy. The fact that Al designed and built a gorgeous and insanely practical laundry closet in our space is nothing short of a miracle. All done on time and with a wonderful attitude. Well done!

This guy Al took my mother for a ride. First off he over charged her for cabinets he did not make. Second off he made promises as in regards to adding an additional cabinet in the hallway at no charge but after the contract was signed he stated it would be extra all of a sudden. Third of all the ground was not level and blamed the tile guy who he referred us to and said to take it up with him instead of working with him to avoid this problem. Forth of all he did not put a protective coat on the cabinets which resulted in chipping after a couple of months. Fifth, he referred us to a bogus electrician who did mickey mouse wiring which we apparently had to pay extra for. Finally, he just avoided my mothers phone calls after he received the final payment which was my fault for not making him complete his work prior to payment.
