Super happy with Bates Fencing! James is a great communicator for all steps, scheduling and expectations. Excellent work and will make it right if it has errors; his crew is clean, courteous, ethical. He helped my design come to life on the horizontal fence, raw steel posts and a custom raw steel gate (then intentionally rusted) came out great!! Photos taken one month after and I'm sealing the fence next week.
Great customer service and fence work! Corbin arrived early to start the day, did impeccable work and made great suggestions related to the positioning of the added gate. The project was completed in less than two days at a reasonable cost. I’d definitely recommend Bates Fencing.

James of Bates fencing is a time waster. Comes out and thinks he better than everyone else and telling me that I can’t have a fence where I want it even though I have written permission from the planning department and code enforcement @ the City of Elk Grove for the fence. Wants to try and over talk me when I’m trying to explain that I’ve already dealt with the city and they have told me exactly where and where not to build the fence. By far the worst customer service I’ve experienced from a licensed, “bonded” and insured contractor. Do yourself a favor and find a different company

We would highly recommend Bates Fencings Inc. James is very knowledgable and easy to work with on designs. The install crew of consisting of Omar, Corbin, John and Augustine, were stellar. They arrived on time, took pride in their work, cleaned up when finished and followed up with any issues after install was complete. We are very happy with the results and how great our property looks with the new gates that match our Mid Century Modern, home.

I cannot express enough how impressed I am with the work done by Bates Fencing Inc. and specifically, Corbin and his crew - Ricardo, John, and Olicer. From start to finish, they were professional, courteous, and attentive to every detail. Their craftsmanship is unparalleled, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure that my backyard perimeter Redwood board on board fence was nothing short of perfection. Not only were they punctual every day, but they worked tirelessly and efficiently, even in the hottest part of the day. Their work ethic is truly remarkable, and I was so impressed that I even chose to pick up their lunch three out of the six days it took them to complete the project. James Bates, the proprietor, did an amazing job putting together this cohesive unit of men who work so well together. It's clear that they take pride in their work and are passionate about what they do. They built and installed roughly 230 linear feet of fence and three beautiful gates, and the finished product is absolutely stunning. Our fence was blown down Jan.09 evening with heavy winds and rain. I contacted James Bates for an estimate and soonest appointment would be Jan.20. He also offer to sent his crew out to stand up the fencing the same day Jan.10 afternoon for $300 and I said OK. Corbin D. and Ricardo G. arrived and put up the fencing. James contacted us Jan.13 and wanted to come by and measure the fencing and provide a estimate which we agree on the price. Jan.23,2023, James crew of Corbin D., Ricardo G, Olicer C., John C. arrived and started the project and Jan.24,2023 the fencing was completed. The crew did a excellent job and we are very happy with James and his crew for the services they provided. We recommend Bates Fencing Inc.

James and his team did a marvelous job creating the fence I envisioned for our front courtyard. It is well-built with attention to detail in the craftsmanship. James stopped by throughout the project to ensure satisfaction and inspect the work as it was completed. I’ve had numerous compliments on it from neighbors and even people driving by.
