Was great experience from start to finish. I called to get estimate and they came out right away. Gave me options on more cost efficient systems. When could not come out to install because of weather, called right away and rescheduled. Did fantastic job with installation, cleaned up after themselves. Sonny was great, made sure I knew everything I needed to know. His crew was very friendly and got things done. Without a doubt will use A Better Service Co. for all my hvac needs and would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

ABSC installed HVAC systems at both my home and office and is always my go-to for maintenance. I am a therapist, but with Alabama heat waves, I always say they do more for mental health in the summer than I do! So appreciative of their reliable, trustworthy work!

This company installed our AC unit last June (we have a new construction home so our house is only a little over a year old) We did not choose this company. (Our contractor did) Our air went out on Monday of this week. I called them a little after 10A. The woman on the phone was not very nice and told me they’d come in the afternoon. I waited and never heard anything back even though I asked her to communicate with me on a time that they could come out. (She had zero urgency for getting us taken care of) (I also have 2 kids- one with asthma and another 4 month old who’s had a portion of her lung removed- they can’t handle no airflow well especially with a house at 83 degrees) I waited for about 2 hours with no response from them and reached out to another company (who came in 2 hours.. and brought portable units to cool us off thankfully) Turns out our AC unit was not installed properly. Our unit had been leaking Freon for so long the copper lines were discolored. We had unknowingly run our unit out of Freon due to this. When I told Linda this (the manager) she told me it was ironic our unit worked for a year and now wasn’t working. (Terrible attitude) Our warranty was up with them on 06/07/22 even though it’s now only 07/2022. They do not stand behind their work nor do they care about your situation. I received a call at 8p from their technician asking if they still needed to come out to help with our unit. I told him we had already handled the situation. (Thankfully so because we would’ve burnt up waiting until 8p on them) I have emailed them with no response so I’m going to save other people from spending thousands of dollars with them. Extremely poor customer service. Save your money and your time. Edit- I also find it strange that they can respond to other reviews on here posted after this one but continue to ignore us. We spent THOUSANDS of dollars with this company and you can’t return a phone call, email, or a review. Again- goes to show the kind of customer service they provide.

They are rude and money hungry. They've been to my house 4 separate times and charged a ton of money just for me to still have the same exact issues as before. They're response was "must be a separate issue". Ok , if that’s the case, either you caused it or missed it which is NOT my fault and should be covered. According to them it's not. So they do NOT warranty their work. Also, they said I didn't have a warranty on my unit... I do. A 10 year warranty. This weekend we were AGAIN out of freon (3rd time) ***which is not covered by a warranty ****because the leak STILL wasn't fixed. Our house was 85-90 degrees. I don’t see how there are so many good reviews on here. Maybe because it’s mostly installations.I should have listened to the several others that warned me about the company. But that was who the previous owner of our home used. Never again will I call them for an issue or recommend them. I had someone else come out and was able to have the issue diagnosed, part replaced (under warranty), all in the same day.

Today is August 2nd, 2022. To the best of my knowledge we have not serviced this equipment in over 18 months. I am saddened by this review for a number of reasons. We always strive to take care of our customers fairly, ethically, and in a timely fashion. We would be happy to respond to this customer, however, we need to clarify some of the facts regarding this job and her unfortunate perception of our performance. The very first service we performed at this location was on October 12th, 2020. We found a grounded compressor and ordered under limited warranty. We changed out a compressor under warranty for the previous owner of the property on October 13th, 2020. The previous homeowner paid us to change out the compressor under limited warranty. The cost to change out the compressor, drier, and recharge unit was $600.00. This charge is actually on the 'low end' of standard charges for changing out a compressor under limited warranty. On January 4th, 2021 we were called to come back, the unit was completely out of refrigerant, we pressurized, checked for leaks, put dye in system and recharged. We scheduled to come out in two to three weeks and recheck since no leak was detected on this trip. We did charge for dye, refrigerant, and labor for this trip. Total charge was $505.00 On January 14, 2020 the homeowner called and said he could see dye at the outdoor unit. We returned, located a leak at the high pressure switch, repaired the leak, recharged the system all at NO Charge. This was not equipment we installed, we were called in to diagnose after the fact. We take great pride in being thorough, fair, and honest. The homeowner says we have been there 4 times, this is 'technically' correct since we found the compressor grounded for the previous homeowner, ordered the compressor and then changed out as agreed (2 of the 4 trips) 3rd Trip was 2.5 months later in January of 2021, we did look for a leak, put dye, pressurized, recharged and scheduled for follow up. We did charge for this visit. 4th trip was on January 14th,2021. Leak was located at high pressure switch, repaired, pulled vacuum, recharged at NO charge. More than 18 months later, the unit has stopped working. We regret the difficulties you have had and certainly never want someone to be dissatisfied with our performance. Since it has been a year and a half since we serviced this system I'm unsure how to proceed other than to express regret to you for your frustration.

Excellent crew that installed my HVAC unit. Very through and complete. Excellent job. Unit has been working now for 2 weeks and is an awesome unit. In these 100 degree days, unit cools house to temp setting at 70 degrees and 51% humidity. So quiet you never know it’s running.

A Better Service Company came HIGHLY recommended by several trusted friends and they did not disappoint. The pricing is reasonable for exceptional equipment. The team came to install our new unit and were professional, quiet and stayed on task until it was done. Seems as if they were in and out without making a sound. Great job - I would recommend them without hesitation!

They handle all our service work, new installs, and replacements. They just left one of our rental houses at 10 pm because the tenant needed AC repaired late due to just getting home from hospital. Linda and her team help us out all the time.
