Daviston and Gale Insulation

I should have read the reviews prior since I see someone else had the exact same problem as me., but this is who my contractor recommended so I went with it. I do not recommend using them. They installed shelving for my closet and the next day the shelves went through my wall of my new home causing two huge holes. They installed the shelves on the sheetrock and not the studs. Tommy blamed Closetmaid and said this had NEVER happened before, but based on the reviews I see that was a lie. After 3 weeks, they finally found a random guy (luckily a nice Christian man) to come out and do the repairs to the sheetrock. I had to miss work two days to be available for him to come out. I also had to be home prior for Tommy to come and inspect the damage. I also noticed several more holes in my wall that I informed them about and they said "Oh the guys just misdrilled". However, no one told me about them or offered to fix it. They were just hoping I wouldn't see it. I paid them to re-hang a mirror in one of my bathrooms and they just put a nail in the wall that was already there and placed it back. So I had to pay to have that re-done. I have 2 shelves that are shaking. Tommy promised to come back out "on his way home" to install more support rods and that was over 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard from him since. Meanwhile, they are sending me nice nasty emails and invoices in the mail requesting payment. If this is the only company you have, I strongly recommend to DIY. You will save yourself some trouble and a botch job. I was also not impressed at all with the level of professionalism once I notified them of the issue. Angela kept telling me a manager would call me and to be patient with them. After a week, they finally did. Tommy implied several times that he didn't know who could fix the damage. I had to offer suggestions of finding a drywall contractor. He acted as if he didn't have any resources and took a week to find someone to come and do the repairs after me calling them multiple times to check the status.

I want to know why I have been mislead concerning the installation of the insulation in my basement ceiling.!! Installer came out to do job, issues with the R value… didn’t have what I wanted. Had something thicker, was not going to fit in space. Was told by salesman, but was not informed of the thickness issue. I don’t know why they didn’t know they did not have the R30 I requested. The installer did not finish. Most people expect them to come back the following day, NOPE !! I ask salesman when to expect him ( at 9:59 am) he finally got back in touch at 10:26am. He said he was trying to reach him… after an hour passed I ask if there was an issue. He called me, telling me he KNEW the job was not complete. The scheduler had sent installer to another job even after they had been told that my basement was not finished. I have called the office once at 11:40 am and again at 2:42 pm, left number both times. Apparently I am not important enough to call back. So I am going to be left with an incomplete job?? I am rather annoyed that I can’t get in touch with anyone.

They were quick to service when they made the sale but when I had problems with shelving ... crickets. I gave up on them and had to fix my pantry shelving myself. They came out to look at the failure of my shelves and quickly blamed it on ClosetMaid doing the design. When I took the shelving down, they had used a wall mount design but did not mount to the studs. The mounting bracket was held up at nine support points where five were in studs, three were held by sheetrock anchors and one by a toggle bolt. It was a terrible installation but Gale took absolutely no responsibility. I would not recommend them for your shelving needs.

Got 3 quotes for R30. Gale Insulation beat the other companies by 60%. Not even kidding. Tommy was very professional during the initial quote and stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process even stopped by during the install to make sure everything went okay. The installers were professional and explained everything in detail. Cleaned up after they were done. They even left me some weather stripping and two extra pieces of insulation for the attic access doors. Not sure how you could do a better job. THANK YOU GUYS! Aaron - Warrior, AL.

Called & set appointment to have measurements taken for new glass shower doors & get estimates. A lady came out 2 weeks ago & I never heard another word. I have waited an excessive amount of time for nothing. Very unprofessional business practice. A phone call or text would have been so easy.

Did excellent work at an affordable price. They'll definitely have my business from now on. Highly recommend!!

After a shift in thinking and management change, things have gotten much better. Professional installers and upgrade in fleet are a plus.

Would NOT USE. The Receptionist was nice. However I had to call 4 times, left 2 messages with the person who was suppose to come and give the estimate. Finally spoke with the receptionist about what was needed and she told me about other services. Left my number and the Sales person was suppose to call me so we could set up a time to meet. NEVER received a call, the sales person went to the address and walked and did her own estimate with no escort and not knowing what was wanted. She did not call the numbers, she left a handwritten note on the door and asked the secondary number which was my husbands to call to verify the number. This company did not do as asked when contacted and once again the sales associate never spoke to us before comng out. They lost the sale and possibly additional sales on the products the receptionist told me the sales associate would go over with me at the time they did the insulation estimate.
