Mark Dice and his team were very helpful in replacing my entire roof after the recent rainstorms. We had a pretty bad leak in one of our rooms and apparently we had a lot of rotten wood all around our house. We couldn't be happier and more satisfied with the efficent and professional work that was done. Mark was very knowledgeable and his team completed the project within three to four days. Also, during the entire process we were shown pictures each step of the way from start to finish, which gave us a clear picture of their work. Now we can rest easy knowing we have a brand new roof that will last a good twenty plus years. We highly recommend this company to anyone who needs their roof fixed or replaced.

We hired Roofing Specialists of San Diego to replace a flat roof over our garage that had been damaged by another roofing contractor (Sequoia Roofing). Roofing Specialists was exceptional every step of the way. Our representative (Mark) was extremely responsive and helpful, coordinating and attending site visits, getting a comprehensive quote within 24 hours, getting work scheduled immediately, keeping us informed of status, and ensuring work was performed 100% to expectations. The owner (Eric) was very knowledgeable and conducted a thorough inspection of our roof and identified a detailed scope of work to correct the deficiencies and failures of the other roofing contractor (Sequoia) that led to our roof failure/leakage/damage. The work crew arrived as scheduled in company trucks with logo shirts and were professional, courteous, respectful, and very competent and efficient. Employees spoke English which made it easy for me to communicate with them as work progressed. The crew kept a continuous photo log of every phase of the project, which was sent to us by Mark as work progressed. By the end of the day we had around 100 photos of the project which were organized in a batch format that we can archive for our records (very helpful). I know this review is focused on Roofing Specialists of San Diego, they did an amazing job and I can’t thank them enough, but I would also like to contrast them with one of their competitors (Sequoia Roofing). We made the mistake of hiring Sequoia for the original roofing project. Sequoia never came to our house to look at our project, rather they used aerial imagery to prepare our quote. This was a big mistake, you need a roofer to get eyes on your project to ensure it is properly scoped. Sequoia sent subcontracted workers to perform the work in personal trucks with no company logo. Nobody on our project spoke English and I was unable to communicate with anyone on site. After trying for months to get on the schedule, they arrived without any notice on a day we had not scheduled and just went to work. Months after the work was completed, we experienced significant water infiltration at the location where Sequoia’s work tied into another portion of our roof. Sequoia was completely non responsive in addressing the issues…they never even came to the house to look at the issue or acknowledge our calls, text messages, or a certified demand letter. We are now having to take them to court. Hire Roofing Specialists of San Diego, you won’t be disappointed.

We reached out to Mark Dice during the busy storm season, and he came right out to determine what needed to be fixed - opposed to other roofing companies we had called prior, who didn't even return our calls. Mark was super knowledgeable, nice and responsive, and helped take care of us and our many questions throughout the entire process. Mark, Eric and their whole team did an incredible job for us. They even took many pictures & videos of the roof replacement for us, which we really appreciate. We can rest easy now, knowing we have a brand new, top quality roof - that is even cooling! Calling and texting was a breeze, the honesty I received from him is greatly appreciated. These guys are in fact roofing specialists. They are not greedy with their quotes like a lot of other companies can be; they actually work with homeowners. Workers were prompt and very professional. Our roof was done quickly & it looks beautiful! …Ours was a tough job too. Previous roofers totally flopped and caused significant damage both internally and externally because it was not done properly from the start.. Roofing Specialist made our roof safe again. From quote to finish, we are so pleased with our experience with Roofing Specialists. The team worked quickly, efficiently and thoroughly despite us having other significant work done at our house at the same time and it being very chaotic. There was A LOT of rotten wood (we had multiple leaks) to be replaced and they did a wonderful job of making it look seamless, and painting to match. They send photos daily of the progress and the work as its being done so we knew what was happening without having to climb on the roof to check it out. Each day they would clean up carefully, including walking around with a magnet to catch stray nails. We've had multiple compliments on our roof already in the 2 weeks its been finished.

The current weather anomalies had revealed some leaks at our home in Blossom Valley. Had it not been for Eric picking up or contract we would have 100's of thousands of dollars of structural damage. He came out, did an evaluation, and literally undercut all other roofers based on price alone. Without his motivation and quest for resolution I would have been dead in the water but within 3 days a crew came out early (7am) and were done by 3p-4p ... massive gratitude goes out to the team who cleaned up after themselves and got the job done before 1 rain drop fell again.

Roofing Specialists of San Diego came out after recent storms to check out my active roof leak. Determined that my flat roof was poorly installed and it was a matter of time before other areas would leak. Replaced entire flat roof. Company was quick (took 1-day to complete work with their large team) and are responsive. It's a lot of $$$, but am pleased with the results. Also pleased with the fact they do take photos of their progress and work which is very helpful as most people won't walk their roof afterwards.

I was enlisted by my daughter to help find a contractor to replace the roof on her recently purchased home. We were aware the roof needed replacement prior to the purchase so that was not a surprise, but the process of securing bids for the job was challenging. We contacted a total of eight roofers, of which only five came out and submitted proposals. As expected, there was a bit of a range in the dollar amounts quoted and they varied in the level of detail provided. Attempting to get clarity on what was being proposed was a struggle. That is where Mark from Roofing Specialists of San Diego began to shine. During the inspection, he attempted to explain in terms I could understand what needed to be done and some of the unknowns in a roofing project. Mark is a bit over the top with how he presented his company, to the point we were a little hesitant to go with Roofing Specialists, but their quote was reasonable (in the middle of the $ range), it included a detailed breakdown, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, so we decided to go with them. And we are glad we did. Once we had the bid, Mark was responsive to questions and adjusted the quote after we realized a portion of the job was not included. Mark reached out several times ahead of our scheduled project date to work through last minute logistics. The crew (9+) arrived on time. They were professional, efficient, organized, and respectful. Given the age/condition of the roof we had banked on needing to replace a portion of wood sheeting, the additional cost of which was clearly spelled out in the bid. Unfortunately for us, once the roof decking was exposed there was a lot more damage than anticipated. After getting our approval, Roofing Specialists replaced approximately 40% of the roofing decking. This added a few thousand dollars to the final cost, but we were very happy to be able to remove the damaged wood before the new roof was installed. Even with that setback, the crew still finished on time and left the property in excellent condition. And we got pictures of the work progress several times a day.
