I’ve had great experiences with Travers tree service. I used them in an emergency with a downed tree and again for some cleanup work. Very happy with the level of service and professionalism. Update: I used Travers again to remove a massive Brazilian pepper tree. They arrived with an 8 man crew and three trucks and made quick work of it. True professionals. Thank you!

We’ve hired Travers Tree both for our personal residence, for my business, and I’ve recommended them to my clients often. Their arborist is more knowledgeable than the arborists at competing companies. Their admin process is much more efficient, their customer service is superior and lightyears more polite than the other “go-to” tree service company on the Palos Verdes Peninsula (which i won’t name here but will tell you, is extremely rude and disrespectful). Travers will continue to be my preferred vendor for tree service. I will also add that their clean up is meticulous.

We have used Travers Tree Services for over 30 years. Tree service and brush clearance have been addressed. Recent winter storms caused an abundance of growth and fire hazards. Brad and his team helped us get a handle on this situation. Thank you.

I, too, did not hire Travers (and never will), but they parked their big rig in front of my house on trash day. The passenger exited the vehicle and moved one of my trash cans in front of my driveway where it was in contact with another trash can so they could better fit and weren’t blocking the driveway behind them. The passenger then climbed back into the truck and started playing on his phone. The driver got out and walked down the street where their job was and spoke with the homeowner. The waste truck then came by, picked up the trash can to dump it, but the trash can that was moved got knocked over because it was too close to the other one. The passenger continued to sit in the truck as the waste truck headed down the street. A few minutes later, he got out of the vehicle and walked right by my downed trash can, not giving it a second look to upright it nor did he move it to unblock my driveway. I hope they performed a great service for my neighbor, whom I know and respect, but they are clearly disrespectful of other people’s property and have no class whatsoever.

Convenient and easy to schedule a quote. Showed up on time. Walked the job, talked through options, and followed up with a clearly written quote to remove two 65ft tall trees and trim one another. Signed and returned the quote and then it took a few days to schedule the service. The crew arrived this morning, on time, polite, wearing masks when we needed to talk, etc. They were careful around the plants at the base of the tree that had them. Skillfully took down both trees and cleaned up at the end of the day. I've used Traver's for years, and will continue to do so. Thanks Guys and we'll see you next time!

On my commute to work (NB 405) one of the large trucks owned by this company cut me off and nearly made me crash my new car. The driver and passenger didn't even acknowledge this egregious act and kept driving in the PASSING lane which isn't for large trucks to begin with. This was very dangerous for me and the disregard for safety on the road was appalling. Do not give business to this company because they will cause several accidents before even making it to the worksite. Hope no one else experiences what happened to me today.

Not a direct customer. Travers were conducting work on my street. I work from home and this was impacting on my work day when on calls. I asked the crew for an estimate on how long they would be there so I could amend my schedule, the response was a shoulder shrug and saying "We're just doing our job". I called their number to ask for an estimate on how long it would take. The first response was"it's not our job to notify neighbors". They finally gave me a time estimate. I told them I appreciated they have a job to do which is unfortunately a noisy job and can understand if they don't have a legal obligation or otherwise to notify neighbors but that their dismissive reactions left me with a bad impression of the company. The employee on the phone reiterated they were under no obligation to notify and hung up. All I wanted was a time estimate, but now I'm leaving this review due to the rude treatment.

In October, 2015 I accepted Traver's bid for removal of a large tree branch and additional tree trimming service. I knew that it might take 20-30 working days until they could get to the job. After that period passed, every time I called the office, I was informed that my job was on the list and they would come ASAP. The arborist never returned my calls. In April, 2016, Travers called to tell me that the work had been scheduled. Sorry Travers, I found a company that was responsive, did a great job and charged me less. By the way - they do not top off their trees. Never again.
