Dodged a $11k dollar bill, yes $11,000! My compressor wasn’t turning on and I was advised after testing that it was bad and needed to be replaced. Next day I had another company come out to take a look for a 2nd opinion, and after 15 minutes of trouble shooting, came to find out there was a loose wire at the thermostat, after getting good connection there, unit was up and running just fine! Moral of the story, get a 2nd and 3rd opinion from a smaller family owned company and trust your gut when you feel like your talking to a salesman instead of a handyman.
