Straight Line Heating and Cooling

Had an appointment scheduled for today for a quote. Told them exactly what I want the system to be for an HVAC replacement and that my wife was gonna be home while I’m at work. I think the guy’s name was Sydney, but he canceled because I wasn’t gonna be present myself. I let him know that I am available for a phone call if any questions arise. I don’t know if this was a salesman tactic for me to be present and have me accept their offer on the spot through some sales pitch, but canceling just because I am not gonna be there is ridiculous. This is no way to conduct business. I had plenty of contractors come by to make an estimated quote with just my wife present. And most called after to explain and adjust if necessary. I have a job and cannot just leave to be present during the estimate. Staying away from these guys.

My A/C went out during the worst heatwave over a 3day weekend in North County. Justin was the first one that could see me. For a reasonable price he replaced a capacitor and tested my system. He said it should last me a few more years. Thank goodness he saw me first, I thought I needed a whole new system. That was a year ago and it still works fine. He is very honest and great at explaining HVAC so that I anyone can understand.

I called Straight Line since we were having issues with the fan in our AC unit. They ended up coming out within a couple hours of my phone call since they had a last minute opening and installed a new motor right away. Their service and reliability blew me away, and the technicians were super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you so much!

Sidney and his team installed a new HVAC system in my home. They completed the project in just a few days, They were on time and very clean. I had several estimates, including from one of the major do it yourself centers, and their price was very reasonable - installing top grade equipment. Further, they have been very responsive to any questions and even dropped after hours to address an issue with my smart thermostat. Nothing bad to say, just completely satisfied. I highly recommended Straightline!

I called Sydney late morning a few weeks ago to have him give me a quote on a new heater and air conditioner. He came within a couple of hours. He new exactly what my house needed. I had gotten a quote earlier that day that was twice as much as Sydney’s quote and they weren’t even going to replace the air conditioner cooling lines. When Sydney saw what I had he said everything would be brand new, even the cooling lines. Sydney was very professional. He had his son and his son’s helper install the new units early the following week. They did an excellent job. Very professional. I would have no problem referring Straight Line to anyone looking to get a new HVAC system installed.

At the end of summer, my AC unit outside was making some whining noise. Straight Line came out and checked it out. Said the fan motor was going out. Since Straight Line did my new ducting a couple of years ago and my unit was 20 years old, I decided to get a new AC Unit instead of repairing it. Not only did I get a great price on a new Trane, it was way more energy efficient and is going to save me money. Sidney scheduled the install and they were out on time and completed it the same day. Lots of work and it was getting hot outside, but they did a great job. So winter update, my heater was making noise when it started up, so I called Sydney and he came out and checked it out and found that the Inducer motor was getting ready to go at some point. Knowing that this part was not cheap and my heater was 20 years old, I opted for a new heater. Straight Line, scheduled the install and installed a new Lennox Heater. It is awesome, efficient and quiet. Very happy again with their pricing and service. They are awesome and I highly recommend them.

I don't think I can tell you enough good stuff about Straight Line! They installed a new forced air heating system and air conditioning unit in a home I bought last year in Paso Robles. First off, they came in several hundred dollars under the other two local estimates I had gotten for this project. They also were very honest with me about the condition of my existing ducting, even though it didn't make them any additional money on the job (another very prominent company in the area came in and added over $2000.00 to their estimate to basically re-duct the house when it was fine). Sydney, the owner, returned all of my calls and emails promptly, with complete information on what needed to happen next and where the project was at as it progressed. I was never in the dark about anything; how many contractors can you say that about?! All appointments/work was scheduled in a very reasonable time frame, and arrivals were on time. Today is a perfect example. I emailed Sydney first thing this morning about a question with my new AC unit and he got back to me within an hour. His technicians were out here in the time frame he estimated, same day. It's supposed to be 100 degrees today in my neck of the woods, but my house is at a cool 75 because of his prompt service work with my request. Everything was done so well that I doubt I will be needing anything new or repaired for a while, but I would recommend Straight Line to anyone. Get comfy!
